Gaudette signs 3 year ELC

I was hoping Gaudette would go the ATO route with Utica for this year's playoffs and then sign with the Canucks for next season. Does anyone know if burning this year of his ELC also counts towards a year of pro service with respect to the Seattle expansion draft?

Disappointed. No one has written a lineup with Gaudette in top 6 yet.😁

Gaudette on the NHL, "I just have to play my game, I have always adapted to the next level. I am never satisfied, it's a big challenge but I am going to tackle it head on."

Yes it does.
Shouldnt be a concern though, we may have a hard time finding 7 forwards 3 defensemen and a goalie worth protecting.

this burns a level of his ELC, and he will need to be protected come expansion draft. With all the other college players signing and about to burn 1 year off (Donato, Greenway, Sikura, Middlestadt), you knew that Gaudette (Hobey Baker Finalist) would have a ton of pull for burning a year.

if it doesn't include Kane and Karlsson and Tavares, it ain't worth posting.

Maybe not every single team but probably half if not more have a player really close to Gaudette's quality if not better in Mittelstadt.

Unless McJesus/MacK are responsible for their team’s goaltending, systems and how lines 2, 3 and 4 play along with the defense then you have no argument.

Can you tell me, with a straight face, that Colorado has better Defense and goaltending, hell even forwards than Edmonton? Erik Johnson has been very solid and healthy for once, aside from him there isn't much talent at defending. I agree, they're a well coached team. I think we all would have said the same of Edmonton at the start of this year

I can tell you with a straight face that the Avs as a team have played much better than the Oilers. I've seen both teams play some games this year. One team has shaky goaltending and struggles to play as a unit, the other has gotten really good goaltending on most nights and gets the most of it's talent.


If you disagree that the Avs supporting cast has played worse than the Oilers then you're following the wrong sport.

He sounds like someone who's been hurt in the past by overhyping mediocre Canuck prospects and now he's jumped all the way onto the other side of the fence and is super cautious about every prospect for fear of getting his heart broken again.


Gaudette is one of the better prospects in hockey. We'll see if he becomes an impact NHL'er, but it's just flat out stupid to suggest that every team has a prospect like him lol.
