3-2 for the Canucks for two reasons. 1. I always want the team to win. 2. If I pick them to win they usually lose. |

After a quick look at capfriendly for younger UFA's.
Derek Grant, Brian Gibbons and Riley Nash would be worth a look (although i imagine most will be re-upped).
Old Kevin Connauton seems to having a decent year in the desert as well. - dbot
I chose those 3 for certain reasons, Komarov, because he has a bit of talent and snarl, Descharnais because he has speed and can play centre, both should be able to get a 4th or 5th at deadline.
Reaves, because i like him and we need him around to help out with physicality, tougher than nails and protect the youth coming into lineup over next couple seasons. Reaves has been flipped for some decent returns over the past year or so, as well.
In this case I sign him, maybe slight overpay like Matt Martin for 2-3seasons. |

I mean, they can kick tires on everyone but they know they wont be able to sign anyone to reasonable deals. This team is still too far away from contending for a playoff spot, let alone a cup, and the UFA's arent signing long term deals only to have the team be good after they retire - WhiteLie
Hurts nothing to kick tires.
As for a PO contention we should focus on divisional teams to compete better against.
As we draft/develop thats my 1st focal point as well as the overall picture of us needing better team D. The woes on D for points will be a longterm challenge. |

Then California would be his 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. Then Colorado and soon to be Seattle expansion which all have way better state laws and strain/industry evolution than Canada on MJ.
