yeah the difference is like 100 over the course of 75 games now. Thats 1.25 more faceoffs per game in the dzone than the others i mentioned. - Sabresfan-365
He’s becoming hard to defend.
Now, our 7.5 mil center, who we traded a bunch for “isn’t the problem”

I posted numbers the other day
ROR averages about 8 per game
If i remember right, Kopitar is around 5.5
That’s roughly 30% more,
and that’s a HUGE difference
It adds up
he could be a 3rd line center this fall making 37.5 mil - homiedclown
I see it the same way. I’m praying we win one of the top 3 picks. Dahlin stabilizes the back end. Having one of Svech or Zadina allows you to roll three lines like this.
?-Eichel-Svech/Z
?- Mittelstadt-Reinhart
Nylander-ROR-Okposo
Bailey-Erod-Baptiste.
the great one, messier, coffey
bossy, trottier, potvin
kopitar, doughty, quick
kane, toews, keith
crosby, malkin, kessel
lecavilier, richards, st louis
pronger, neids, selanne
brodeur, neids, stephens
none of them were 31st - homiedclown
Chicago blows this year...
that just goes to show you how much having a decent supporting cast matters
Or explain how Pitt struggled for so long while they were having trouble putting other good players around Crosby & Malkin
Also...
i never said we matched up to the guys you’re listing
Heck, Eichel doesn’t even match up as our best forward compared to most of those team’s best
Obviously we need to add more good players
Just bc we don’t have Keith...
doesn’t mean that guys like Seabrook & Hjarlmsson & Sharp, etc etc etc weren’t an important part of Chicago’s wins
with the poliots, girgens, larsson, ror, reinhart, pommer, okposo on this roster
you will never be able to have an uptempo north south team though - homiedclown
I agree with your point. I just see next year as a transition year, allowing them to get away from Pommer, Girgs, Johan, while letting Asplund, Pu, etc. develop in Rochester. There's just too much to overhaul in one summer. They won't go with 6/7 forwards with minimal or no NHL experience.
Assuming you can't trade Okposo. You have to consider dealing Sam or RoR.
I think Eichel will have the 4th highest cap hit among forwards next year
Is he the 4th best?
Nope
News flash...
Buffalo is gonna have to overpay EVERY good player - jdfitz77
2 years from now Eichel’s deal will be one of the best value contracts in the league. Cap is going to continue to rise. I don’t think Matthews signs for anything less than $12M
