Not to start another dumb fight with Sbroads...
but O’Reilly isn’t coming off PP1 until Eichel or Reinhart get MUCH MUCH better at faceoffs - jdfitz77
Not starting a face off war, that's simply the spot on ice where i want to see him. A more dynamic threat there would make a world of difference to the look of the PP.

Holy poop. Are we really already going here? The ink is barely dry and we're already giving him the ROR treatment? |

Philly had ONLY 6 of the same starters in 2015 as they did last year
Care to rephrase? - jdfitz77
I'm not saying I don't believe you but there was something I read that laid out that most of the key starters were apart of the team already
They might not have been starters when Wentz and Goff were drafted but they were already on the team |

I still want Dahlin, but both Svechnikov & Zadina are LH shots that play on the RW
Having one of them on the side of the ice could open it up more for Jack on the opposite side
Idk that Mittelstadt is a “sniper” like those 2, but it’s certainly worth giving him a look in that spot on the PP |

I dont know if hes good at faceoffs. response to barzal-tavares duo comparisons. neither extreme is really fair without him playing a single minute, just more an observation.
Should temper expectations given how bad this team is |

Not sure about that
You could be right, but i think it’s still valid to look at those numbers & say u can build your team AFTER u pick the QB |

He was almost a point a game. The subtext of the even-strength comment is clear. You're already positioning yourself against him a la ROR imo |

I can list anything I want since you said "only one quarterback ever" plus 3 of those guys had under 56%. Oh and BTW Stafford ended his college career at 57.1% not 56 like you claim.
Also Matt Ryan is in this generation and all those guys outside of Marino and Ryan(still active) ended their NFL careers with 60%+. |

Philly had 4 of the other 10 offensive starters before Wentz was picked
2 OL, Ertz, and Algohor
On Defense,
they had 5 of 11 starters prior to drafting Wentz
That’s less than 50% of their starters
The narrative that their team was mostly put together before Wentz just isn’t true |

You have to draft really well for this to work though.
With all these picks, some could bust and you'd still be ok.
The Colts failed miserably after drafting their QB. Packers have too for the most part - sbroads24
"We might fail" is a pretty poopty excuse to not do something. They might just as easily fail just sitting on their picks.
The move to 12 was hedging IMO, they gave up Glenn who they seemed to want to move on from anyway as a "free" 9 spot bump. They didn't spend any picks to move up so that if a trade doesn't materialize to go up into the top 5 they didn't lose anything really and probably gained because they got rid of an anchor contract and a meh player. |

I don't spend any time projecting lottery winning picks. Might get one, might not. They might play in the NHL next year, they might not. I want to see how Mittlestadt plays with Jack, on the PP and off. |
