So Vegas will be exempt from Seattle’s expansion draft but also will not receive their share of the expansion fees($20M or so).

Steep price to pay, but that’s gonna be a massive advantage for them + it does (frank) over Seattle a bit.

A team with 7 good forwards who need protection can just trade one of them to Vegas instead of Seattle holding all the leverage.

Vegas can potentially walk out of the SEA expansion draft with potentially 1 or 2 impact players(Top 6 F/ Top 4 D) without having to pay the usual market price.

Descibes my thoughts also. When i think on what we do or who to trade with it comes back to the TDL again. Offseason or draft trades might land us the return we need sooner to get on with next season but it still gets us less. If not then i’m all for it.
