Scoring centers that start on the wing stay on the wing. Like Granlund, Kessel, Miller, Hayes, Rakell, Keller, Domi, Reinhart, Galchenyuk, Bennet, Aho, and the list goes on for basically ever.

Coaches are too risk averse to live with the growing pains. Green, in a rebuilding year, still benches kids for turnovers trying to make a play for veterans who chip it off the glass.

Not everyone is Tyler Seguin and even then, Seguin's game as a "center" isn't terrific in the traditional sense which is why he regularly lines up on the wings and Benn and Spezza take C for him and Eakin used to regularly as well.

Tyler Seguin has taken 350 more face-offs then anyone on Dallas. Double what Speeza has this season.

He excelled at center and wing in SHL and was the league MVP. I have no idea if he will step in at center or the wing. Ask me again after a few preseason games.
- CanuckDon

Just play him like Toronto is doing with Nylander a bit of both.

I'm fearing this as well. Hoping it's just one year and they can play on the third line for 12 min per game.

EP will likely be 175 and he has been surviving physically in a mens league for 2 years. If he is skilled enough his size won't be an issue. I could continue to list all of the players under 180 pounds that are suceeding the league right now but I am too lazy. Hint, there are lots of them.
- CanuckDon

That play center? Name one.

He is 160 pounds right right now, what he will be is in the fantastical land of Jesus, Astrology and Wishful thinking.

Is C just a position you see plugging a player into or more to it than that?

is a 180 lbs. at least fact check, were not heathens here. It's also worth noting he played two full years in the AHL, not really a guy that you should be comparing him to if you want him to jump to the NHL in the Fall

And even at that, he's 27.

175-180lbs at age 27 is a lot stronger than a 160lb 19yr old trying to get to that weight

he's taken over 1000 FO's this year. That's more than Seguin took in any season before this year. Like 200+ more than Henrik

The league is generally going smaller/skill/fast guys, but center is not a position to do this at IMO. I still think he needs a year in the A, but will be happy to be proven wrong.
