He sucks massive donkey balls
He's literally had like 6 quality starts his entire career - Sabresfan-365
Is Johansson’s first year of pro hockey over here
With Ullmark likely moving up, he should be in Rochester next year
I’m not counting him out just yet
Also was never projecting great things for him either though
We’ll see how he does in Rochester the next 2 years |

.909 in the ECHL this year and he'd get a shot with Borgen, Fedun, Paetsch etc. for his D. Keep the seat warm for Ukka Pekka if nothing else |

That's not now that works. He gets paid a prorated rate based on how many days/games are left. Which is still like $75K. Not a bad chunk of change. - Wetbandit1
I think you’re half right because I believe CJ Smith got 900,000 for the games he played |

maybe, i doubt they'd have joined a 30th place team - Sabresfan-365
Would’ve had to pay the Buff-a-tax to have a shot at them
Now with them having such good seasons,
it would just cost too much
8mil maybe?
Would’ve been perfect fits though imo
Unless there’s trades...
idk if we see any significant moves for next year other than letting the kids actually play
We aren’t gonna send these guys through waivers & have them claimed
So we gotta make room up here for them,
or trade some of the young guys
I’d prefer to let guys like Pouliot, Josefson, & Nolan walk
Guys like Larsson & Girgensons are tradable, although i doubt we’d get much
Who knows about the big contracts like Okposo & Pommer & Moulson...
Would be nice to move them,
but idk if it’s possible?

Fair enough
I just wasn’t ever counting on anything from Kasdorf
He was never a legit prospect imo |

top pick
one relatively big trade involving roster player(s)
one medium AAV short term signing
one stop gap goalie
couple of low risk high reward signings
Gives you some adds without taking spots away from the kids. especially if we assume several ufa's currently occupying a roster spot won't be back |

Anytime GMTM made a trade, you were hoping he knew something about an obscure prospect that no one else knew. It was the best way to make sense of his deals. Kasdorf was one of those, for sure.

I'm pretty sure no one expected him to be anything more than an ahl goalie |

Funny thing is I totally was on board with the Fasching trade when it first happened for that very reason.
A year later I thought it was beyond dumb. |

kind of a waste of a 3rd rounder. Not that they have a high success rate in the first place, but it's not like they took a chance on someone with upside. His U20 numbers in sweden were just awful. I think TM saw size and said (frank) it why not. |

Sounds about right
I think the only UFAs we bring back are Wilson & Nelson
Eichel, O’Reilly, Reinhart, Okposo, Pommer, Wilson, Larsson, Girgensons, Rodrigues
That’s already 9
Plus Mittelstadt & probably our top pick
Still need room for
Bailey, Baptiste, O’Regan, Smith & Fasching...
don’t wanna lose them to waivers
That’s 16 guys right there
And what if Nylander, Asplund &/or Olofsson make the roster?
We are gonna have to clear out some guys like Pommer, Okposo, Larsson, Girgensons...
and that’s just to make room so we don’t lose any kids to waivers
I don’t think we have room to add a forward unless he’s a guy that’s going on the top line with Jack
No lotto ticket or mid-range UFA that won’t be part of our future is worth losing any of those young guys who still have potential
