He is a 3rd liner or as you like to say 3rd cog in wheel.
For me it is not just the fact he is overpaid, the guy is only able to play somewhat decent with good players.
At that cost, he should be able to contribute more to the line than he does.

I truly believe he wants to stay but Snow cannot put out a lineup to do that. All the 1sts & 2nds he has won’t help either. Too bad he didn’t make an offer for Tanev JB had to take. Hoping he does for the draft.

Very true he is the 3rd wheel & I always saw him that way. The money was going to be there but miscast here & best as a 2nd liner IMO. We were far from using him in that role. The hype from the Olympics was folly when tons of open ice & JB had some sort of attachment to LE from his Bruins days. We all know that & the timing & signing was & still is a failure. Year 3 & beyond are redemption years for him & JB but wishful thinking at that. Only a massive turnaround for the entire team next year will help mollify the fan base & highly unlikely that happens. Something will have to give & that can only be prospects coming up changing our fortunes to help us forget.
