Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks can't lose for winning, the Hockey Gaud and Willie O'Ree The Vancouver Canucks ignited an odd firestorm among their fans when they won their third game in four outings against the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday at Rogers Arena.

TY Carol.

I don't care where we end up drafting, as long as the Oilers don't pick first.

I used the Tankathon draft this morning and my first draw had the Canucks picking first, then the Islanders picking two and three with Calgary's pick. A dream scenario.

Thanks Carol,

Calgary not protecting their first round draft pick is hilarious. And I would like to see the other two top picks go to the east. Also tend to root for the underdog, and they certainly fit that description. I like Florida too.

Yes. The Canucks did a nice tribute to Larry as part of the Chinese New Year celebration night back in February, with members of his family in attendance.

He passed away last week at the age of 94.

Oilers
Blackhawks
Senators

If any of those teams pick first I'm breaking something.

Anybody who already has a #1 D can all get lost.

Coyotes too with OEL.

Detroit is the only team I would like to see win a part from us.

Oy vey, I can't even begin to articulate how upsetting it would be to see Edmonton get another first overall. But what a future (theoretically) a team with Conner and Rasmus on it would have.

I am hoping we can somehow squeeze Toronto's 16th OA pick out of them.

It would be great if Edmonton wins. Watching those two play together would be special

Reuben, won't TO be drafting in the 22 to 27 range? Or are you predicting a bit of a losing streak for them?

Who's your pick at 16?

I expect Gaudette and EP to come on this club much like Kesler and Burrows. Now before you gang up to tell me to lower my expectations , take a minute to think back to when they started. They came in as third /fourth liners and it took about 3 years for them to peak .

I think we will be getting two fine prospects but it will take time for them to fit in.I do also remember Gaudette and EP being the best of the Summer Showcase last year

Anyone of Ty Smith Wilde Veleno Kotkaniemi MacIsaac Noel or Kupari.
Defensemen preferably.

Dont see Toronto getting past TB or Bruins.

Hoping for something similar...just without all the bulls-h-I-t that Kesler and Burrows brought with them.

You sort of needed that type of player back then. The refs were like WWF refs , stupid and blind . It was either attack or be attacked.

I like about 90% of what Kesler and Burrows accomplished here a lot of it was great. But the antics with the diving and hair pulling so forth and so on just got to be too much. Took us a long time to shed that image. Don't need it back here IMO.

I always liked Burrows still do . Never liked Kesler the person.

One was all about the team and one was all about himself

Don't you mean they worked their way up from the AHL? Because they both did play in the AHL for a year. I agree, I expect them to follow a similar route
