Jason Pominville - 5 on 5

Leads team in Goals for %
8th in Scoring chances for %
2nd in Corsi for %
1st in on-ice Goals for per 60
3rd in points per 60
4th in shots per 60
Tied for 2nd in 5 on 5 points

....He can still play a decent role

- sbroads24

A guy with stats like that I think would be respected in the locker room as a leader as compared with Josh Gorges. I love the guy, but let's face it, kind of hard to take a guy seriously calling you out that really doesn't contribute on a nightly basis.

if they do not get a top 3 pick, this seasons was a total bust

the gap between 3 and 4 is that huge

You're right. They'll find a good Catholic boy to replace his 20+ goals and 55 points, who married his wife at 17 and named his son Abraham.

I'm retired

I feel like this problem extends to a lot of players who currently occupy key roles on this roster

This is where posters like Fitz (no offense Fitz) don't understand why relative numbers matter more than overall.

Of course Pommers overall numbers were better on a better team, but he still has good numbers this year relative to his teammates.

O'Reilly is like 6th-10th in most of these categories

I think Pommer was probably a bad choice for the C back then, but still a good vet to have

i didn't say they weren't ahead, i said its not that big of a gap.

Tkachuk had the same numbers as Casey in college. we're going to gag on his Richard but call tkachuk underwhelming?

on a bad team like ours Rel numbers are the most important of the "basic advanced stats".

They can tell you who's dragging who

lower ceiling, higher floor. I get that, but I dont think Zadina is that far ahead of him.

Backes in his prime was close to 30/30 every year. unless you think zadina is going to score like ovechkin, I don't see how the gap is "so wide"

Hot take.

The top 4 taken in the draft are all going to be busts... And not the good kind of busts.

Whichever forward the Sabres take with their first pick, if they only score "close to 30/30", folks here will freak out and want him run out of town.

Matthew Bové

@Matt_Bove
Both Ullmark & Lehner listed as day-to-day on #Sabres injury report. There's a chance Lehner has played his last game with the Sabres.

I know your not a fan of his but you can see he’s going to be huge for this franchise ..

His first play of the game had that no look pass If we had a finisher on the team with an IQ he score on that play

that first play of the game he passed up an obvious shot for a drop pass nobody was looking for.

I get that he's uber talented im not blind lol. Ive repeatedly called him our version of marner. But his flashiness doesn't=stardom. In keeping with the leafs comparison, we still need our version of Will Nylander.

I idolized kids like you when I was young. I had a Super Nintendo, but not the intelligence, to perform those "fatalities" or whatever they were called.

All I knew was, if you keep jumping, Goro goes down like a female dog lol.
