I think you omitted the guy that is going to win it. William Karlsson. - MJL
He's an interesting name. Simply an incredible year. When I watch him/them play, it's not that I didn't see a defensively responsible player. I think more so I viewed them as a more "by committee" approach, where Gallamt didn't always send him out against the nastiest matchups. They just seemed to pretty much roll four, to me.
So if he wins, hey, I won't complain -- a year like that deserves something, if he does win and people who watch them more consistently see a bit more than I did.
For me, I thought it could be more like this:
1. Kopitar or Couturier -- dead heat
3. Bergeron
4. Barkov
5. Kadri
6. Trocheck |

The players you mentioned are all great choices but there is a lot of buzz around Karlsson for the Selke. We'll see what happens. I'd really like to see Couturier win it but I doubt it. He should be among the top finishers.

IMO, it will come down to Karlsson or Bergeron. The 2 best teams points wise in the league goes a long way. Coots should finish top 5 because the Flyers were predicted as basement dwellers to start the season.

Me, too -- got to be one of the nominees. I would be pretty disappointed if he isn't, because I try not to be a homer when it comes to stuff like this. If there was a shift left for the Cup, I really would send Couts out there with no hesitation |

I've also been hearing karlsson kopitar and Bergeron. The Boston media is pushing Bergeron for the hart and if that becomes a consensus narrative then you'd think he's a show in for the selke. Cooter is def top 5 though

after the way TK undressed bergeron yesterday and made him look like a traffic cone, i'd say he's off the list immediately. |

Haha. But tk is an elite talent. Bergeron can't handle him despite what jack off edwards thinks. |

Tk is amazing me with his progress. Fantastic skill and speed. Very willing to go to the tough spots to score and mixes it up with much bigger players. Really starting to drive this team 5 on 5 as well.
He's better than I thought he'd be at this stage of his career. |

4 0 Florida. I'd love to see the canes get lucky and take it in regulation though. Make the last few games less stressful on me. |

Majority of credit belongs to Konency but Hakstol and the coaching staff have done a great job guiding him along and making him into a better player. He was really raw last year and had to and continues to learn some hard lessons but to his credit he has taken it as an opportunity to get better rather than negatively. |

I still find it utterly hilarious every time the Hall trade is discussed by my Oiler peers. - SimmerDown
Yes most still say they needed a defenseman, ok we get it but that trade should have brought back a number 1 defenseman. That will go down as one of the worst of many that Chiarelli made. I don't care what was happening there they needed Hall to play with Mcdavid, that would have been the best duo in the league I think. |

The PP gets a change while performing yet the PK doesn't ? it's been pathetic the last few years. I think part of it is the fact this teams coverage and battle around it's own net is poor. The allow too many good chances which explains why ALL the goaltenders struggle on the PK. Even on even strength they have poor coverages and lose puck battles down low. I'd like to see a better strategy where they attack on the PK instead of sitting in a box, sticks down, and hoping to block shots. The team as a whole also doesn't clear the zone when possession of the puck. The teams with the better PK attack and don't allow teams to setup and bomb away. I don't like change for change sake but with the track record of the last 4 years or so it's evident they need some sort of change. |

Chiarelli single handily destroyed the Oiler dynasty before it started. The Hall and Eberle trades. Signing Lucic. That Draisatl contract, oh my, that s a lot of money for less then a pt/gm player who is very average defensively. |

Ok two more OT losses for magic number of 96 - Just5
your phrasing is still poor
This implies the Flyers need some combination of wins/Panthers losses to equal 96 |

Not like it's an important game. Oh wait.
That franchise couldn't get 10k fans for a scf game. It's awful. |
