No doubt I’m harsher on larsson than he often deserves cause of who we dealt for him. And I like the guy. Dependable, physical. Etc. A solid secondary piece.

But Jesus, he’s a fairly run of the mill defense first guy. Keep hoping for more, but Absolutely no offence and can’t move the puck much at all. It’s frustrating.

We need a true 1 so badly and AL won’t have to play huge minutes and get asked to do things he’s just not capable of

A full season with a healthy Sekera, a league average or better season from Talbot, and Lucic not having easily the worst season of his career and this season is much different. Oilers likely fighting for a wild card spot. Expect them to look for a winger or 2 and an upgrade on d in the off-season. They'll hope Talbot regains last season's form. If he doesn't, it's a contract year and they let him walk and seek his replacement next offseason.

He didn't have a solid game tonight and that goal was all on him, but is it so much to ask to see him play on the PP to see what he CAN do when given purely offensive responsibilities? Maybe it sparks something else. We have been 0/12 on the PP these last 4 games. Not like strategy matters at this point honestly.
