I didn't hear that. I just heard him talk about free agency on July 1st, how he wants to be smart with money, and make sure the free agents can mentor the kids. - Codes1087
He said next year is about the kids. They need to see what they have with all of the prospects. They will consider UFA's that help bring them along. |

It is a little different being a goalie, but when he gave it up there were several comments that showed what wearing the letter entails:

IMO when you lose 2 guys like Henrik and Daniel to share the media duties with, along with being the main offensive catalyst, it could be a lot adjustments for him right away - WhiteLie

Yes it was. However, not everyone gets that channel, we had to add it for $6 a month. Anyway, the Blue Jays are the most important sports franchise in the nation. - Marwood
$6/month for a channel that shows a game like once every few months?! |

Bo's heading into his 5th season, he's 23 as of tomorrow, he's incredibly mature and well spoken, there's no reason why he cant handle the responsibility of being Captain next year. There's lots of other guys that have been given the C at an earlier age. - Brooks_Light
Bo can 100% handle the duties of being captain. He could have last year. We have had 18 year captains in this league that still aren't as mature as Bo!!! |

TSN doesn't have the rights to any national sports anymore, I rarely watch it now. - LeftCoaster
Ya me too. I believe that contract for Leafs/Habs/Sens/Jets games is done soon if not this year. 5 channels TSN and 5+ channels SN and you still have to buy centre ice to watch hockey what a joke. Unless TSN somehow solidified a few more seasons of those games. When SN signed that TV deal with the NHL they still kept coverage regional and still forced people to buy centre ice. When they could have easily broadcast all CDN team games country-wide on regular cable but oh no...gotta gouge for that Centre Ice cash cow. I just try to find the games I want to watch online for free now...Centre Ice can go f-u-c-k themselves |

I dont know enough about Bo's routine, how often he ducks the media, etc. to say for certain whether he can handle it or not, but I hope the team thinks about it from every perspective other than PR before deciding |

Something tells me we are signing either JVR or James Neal to a 5x5 contract on July 1st - Codes1087
He sort of stumbled around, ehen asked about who, what and how long of term, when the ufa question came up.
He wanted a scoring winger for awhile, so that wouldnt surprise me. |

We’re on the verge of cancelling cable. It’s news and sports we can’t replace just yet, but a VPN would bypass the blackout restrictions on Canuck broadcasts. |

Cable companies better get their heads out of their ass or they will end up like Blockbuster. Streaming services are eating away at their market share little by little. The Netflix original programming is giving HBO a run for its money and I heard Disney is going to start (has started?) it’s own streaming service |

I went through the exercise when I moved out. I was just going to do Netflix, NHL Centre Ice, and MLBTV, but for the cost of internet and those 3 services I was better off paying for cable. Cant stand Telus though, good quality picture but poop hardware and pricey |

We get nhl free as part of our phone contract (so not really free...), still , not sure the difference in cot between internet/cable and just internet. |

Yup, and they are retracting their shows back to be exclusive with their own services. Pretty soon someone will reinvent cable where you can get the HBO Now, Disney, Netflix, NBC, and Amazon for a low low price of $200/month
Reminds me of this...

This is what he said last week about if hes ready to be captain...
“Absolutely — no question, I’ve been here long enough that I’ve seen what it takes to be a leader and how Hank and Danny have done it for many years, and I’m ready to make that next step. I can be a little bit more vocal and lead by example on the ice.” |

I hope that crap doesn't become a trend to bring in retired players at the end of the year. Another loophole that needs to be addressed.
With the Sedins in the lineup we are a bottom five club. With no Sedins next year if we trend up to 20-25 spot I will call that a win. So many things need to be addressed to make this club even minutely close to a WC team. - LordHumungous
So if we go from the 23rd place team, like we're trending right now, to the 25th place team, you'll call that a win?

That’s not what he said at all. He said going from 27th place at best to 25th at worst is an improvement. |
