Yup JT would like that........ Realistically, Carlsson is a beast on the blueline. Sign him with as much term as possible and trade Edler while his value is still high. His age doesn't fit a rebuild and someone will want his contract.

We don't want anyone long term who will undermine the leadership group of Sutter, Eriksson and Edler. Carlson, Karlson and Taveres are to strong of leaders to have around our Swedish and meatball leadership core.

So is signing players in their late 20’s to 6 year UFA NTC contracts, yet it’s constantly suggested here.

I was. I have always said, no more than 2 years, and no more than 4 million per year. Didn't like the Vrbata signing, didn't like the LE signing, didn't like the Gudbranson signing, didn't care for the Miller signing, but gave JB praise for MDZ/Gagner/Burmistrov/Weircoch (thinking they would be assets able to be flipped).
