MDZ should be easily flipped next year. If Gagner is trash for 2.5 years then he’s going to be hard to flip as a soft winger. - Nucker101
Marked and recorded for posterity.
In the future I'm listing names mother(frank)er. |

I was at that concert as well. Went on the "Magic Bus" from Abbotsford. 3/4 of the busload was completely wasted by the time we got to Seattle. Really good concert, but bummed that I missed seeing Keith Moon. - we_are_all_canucks

I mentioned to a coworker the idea of paying a legend like Lidstrom an absurd amount of money to travel/hang around the team, be the mentor for Juolevi in that exact capacity, where there is no salary cap, just so he could feel better about trading Tanev - WhiteLie I mean there are worse ideas |

Congrats to the Sedins on an awesome career. Can't imagine as unique a situation happening again . Definitely hall worthy. |

I knew Weircoch and Burmistrov were waiver scraps. Was always wishful thinking to assume they had value. Every team has those guys on their roster or AHL.
I thought Vanek would at least bring back a (frank)ing 4th
MDZ I definitely liked, any dman with 2 legs apparently had value this past TDL. Plus even though he sucks, he seems like a good veteran I the room(mmm intangibles). Can easily flip him at the TDL next year for a mid round pick.
Gagner I didn’t mind either at the time, but man he sucks. We got the Philly version - Nucker101
I'm similar.
I was surprised by Miller, although came to like that deal, because, well...Markstrom.
i didn't like Vrbata signing and really didn't like the way it ended .
I liked LE at the time, was hoping he'd bring some scoring and consistency, especially when the Sedin's inevitably retired...we'll see?
MDZ i liked for reasons stated above.
Gagner i was less keen on. I still am not sure about that one.
This off season just got a whole lot more interesting.
I am hoping for some creativity and perhaps prying a RFA free.
i'd like to see Hutton, Granlund, Nillson moved (at least). |

Listen to the demo version of 'Christmas' from the Tommy Soundtrack. It has no vocals and is the drum track. It will blow your f'king mind.
It's hard to tell what is a "fill" and what is tempo.

Hey I was also at that '82 concert I hated the Kingdome.
Edit: when we were crossing the boarder my buddy was hanging out the car window talking to a station wagon full of nuns, he said "we're going to see The Who, are you going to see The Who?" - A_SteamingLombardi
One of my school buddies rented a bus & driver. Most of us ate mushrooms before the boarder. A lot of mushrooms. |

I don't understand most of the veteran signings he's made:
Miller
Vrbata
Vanek
Eriksson
Gagner
Etc.
To me it seems like these were second or third choices. - bloatedmosquito
Because they were!!! |

The Clash were one of those groups I never got to see and always regretted.
I did get to see Joe Strummer and the Mescalero's once...which was awesome.
Close as i'd ever get. |

To me. Ganger was always just a body. A place-holder. 3 year contract though was too long.
But I have to admit I love seeing him play Edmonton with Kassian. |

I saw Joe Strummer at The Commodore. The Pogues were playing and their guitar player was sick so Strummer filled in. It was a legendary show in Vancouver. In my top 3. |

reminiscing about gigs is a summer time off season thing.
We shouldn't waste it when we can still post lineups.

Then they weren't choices were they? JB settled for something he didn't want and that is poor management. |

Huh?
Every manager has plans and then contingency plans.
A free agent can only choose to sign with one team.
Gillis was reminiscing about signing the Sedin's as free agents and noted that they had back up plans if the Sedins decided to go elsewhere (was it Burke in Toronto or Calgary? Can't remember)
I think it would be worse management to say, well, we tried to sign Tavares but came up short. So we're going with Reid Boucher. |

I could actually see MDZ staying. Good in the room and a minute muncher and isn't injury prone. Might be ok for another season or two. |
