Now... why not do a twopher and just make a bobble head with sedin written on the back of it with no number and call it the sedin bobblehead night. - ChrisMS
Or just scratch off Daniels name and replace it with Hank . No one will notice
I know the cycle was #Canucks Sedins go-to. But watching highlights over past 24 hours, remarkable how many incredible goals they scored off the rush in their hey day. Not bad for guys who could never skate...
The Sedin's always knew how to play off the rush they just didn't do it when it mattered the most.
Hey I was also at that '82 concert I hated the Kingdome.
Edit: when we were crossing the boarder my buddy was hanging out the car window talking to a station wagon full of nuns, he said "we're going to see The Who, are you going to see The Who?" - A_SteamingLombardi

That’s what took them to the next level during their primes

One of my favourite things about them was how, during their primes, they came up with some new plays each offseason. Like that one year where they started icing the puck for breakaways

They've alwyas been such cerebral players – one of the reasons I though they would give it another year. But watching old vids, you see how they've lost a step, and that nose for the net.

Totally. I thought they would use their smarts to find a way to play another season or two, but a combination of them losing a step and the rest of the league getting considerably faster hurt them. Those highlights make them look fast compared to today

Ya, faster league, and also crappier Canuck team. I think if this team was another 2-3 years along in the rebuild, they'd come back for another season.
Hah, they're slowish in the highlights, but yes, compared to now they were operating at warp speed

Yeah it's a shame the rebuild didn't start in 2012-13

I'd agree with that, they were decent support players this year but as its been pointed out, in this stage of the rebuild those prime zone starts are better used on kids getting acclimatized to the NHL
despite their lack of speed, one thing that always baffles me is how frequently those two come up with the puck on a dump and chase forecheck. Even to this day, when they dump it in, they come up with the puck most of the time
Go Royals! Beat those stinking giants - 1970vintage
Was gonna go to the game on Sat but couldn't find 2 seats that weren't back row in the corner. I didn't realize just how nuts people are for the Royals here
I read a few back pages and posters don't want to try to replace the Sedins? How do you think that will turn out? You are going to pull out two fifty point players and not replace them? Ericksson was a horrible signing but he was brought in to compliment the twins.
I first of all look to a trade to replace one of them. Your top return would need to involve Tanev.
Benning needs to really do his homework but you can't just take those extra points away and hope for a better record. This is going to be a big summer for Benning

Agree 100%. This summer can make a big difference in the amount of time before we get back to the playoffs. Tanev should be moved for sure, along with Granlund and one of our fringe Dmen. We will need to sign at least a couple of free agents, it'll be up to JB to not pick up any more anchors like LE.
