florida still has a tough road, needing to win all 3, playing boston twice, and needing the flyers to lose at least once in regulation.

flyers have the advantage. at home. against 2 non playoff teams, with their own playoffs on the line. it will be nothing less than abject failure and collapse considering they were 13 points clear of the last non playoff team at the deadline.

So how did I not make my point? Every part of my reasons were on display last night

*lack of timely saves by our goaltending
*even worse defense
*Bottom of the league PK
*The inability in clear pucks out of the defensive zone.
*Bad coaching decisions

Argue it! Seriously, tell me how unrealistic I am. Try to do it without bringing up Brayden Schenn who leads his team in points and isn't playing with a possible Hart trophy candidate.

If the Flyers make the playoffs...your probably right as to the reasons why it may not be a long run....I do think if Elliot can get back, the Flyers can at least get solid goaltending....the others are reasons that have hurt Flyers this year. As far as bad coaching decisions, it’s a clean slate in the playoffs, I’m sure like any other coach they can learn by their previous mistakes....
The bad pk and failed clears is really the same problem....when their d is forced to play in their own end the flaws show. They struggle in their own end on a few levels.

yes, those facts happened last night but it would not be accurate to say that is the case every game. No one here is saying this team is going to win the cup and most agree it would take a good matchup to even have a chance. Guess what, I will tune in and cheer for them and hope they play like they have in many of the 40 wins and cheer until the season is over.

what i love is the people who complained about the old way not working and now with hextall wanting to build thru the draft which IMHO is the best way to go in a cap world, we get constant complaining about how long its taking.

So basically they can't lose in regulation. Playing two awful teams at home to close out the season you figure they would find a way. They will need the 3 points. They aren't getting any help.

Yup. Want to see a win on the ice secure the playoff spot. I would think that is more gratifying to the players as well.

I think the Bruins are on cruise control, they looked disinterested in TB last night. I thought the Panthers would lose last night facing Nashville as the second game of a back to back. Now that they won that game, I see them winning out.
