I go in and out. Loved it as a kid and through the 80s, though was more of an NWA guy back then. Pretty much lost interest and stopped watching in the early 90s til my cousin got back me into at Mania in Philly in 99. Since 2004 or so, I tune in and out, but I’ve gotten back into it the last year or so as they’ve brought in some exciting new talent.

Fact: Flyers entered the season a bubble team at best. In fact I can’t remember any preseason hockey publications or websites that picked them to make the playoffs

Fact: The Flyers lost both of their regular goalies to injury heading into the stretch drive

Fact: The Flyers are relying on a 19 year old rookie to anchor the 2nd line and trying to get by without a legit 3C

Fact: Radko Gudas, expected to be a solid top 4 Dman on this team, has woefully underperformed

Fact: If the season ended today, the Flyers would be in the playoffs and they’ve already exceeded last years point total by 6 points.

Konecny is developing into a legitimate top 6 scoring winger

Lindblom is looking like a really good hard nosed skilled winger.

Sanheim is improving and is showing some real promise.

It would not surprise me at all if both Patrick and Konecny are 60 point players next season.

The best thing is there are plenty more young players coming.


They can be frustrating at times, but looking at the big picture, all is good in Flyer land.

One caveat. Please improve the friggin PK!

Yeah, the days of the slow build are gone though they have been building the whole Shane/Bryan/Owens/Zayn thing for nearly a year.
Re Taker: The way he went out last year should of been the end. I don’t want to see a 53 year old broken down Mark Callaway in the ring. It would just be too sad. Too many of these guys just don’t know when to quit.

I'd also add the following:

Didn't watch it. I'm so behind on shows. I kind of need to remember the 1st season better before I go back in too. Then Westworld is coming up! That I need to re-watch I feel like, no exceptions. Been 1.5 years.

it's very promising. i'm also not keen on moving simmonds unless the return is lights out. even with his "down" year, he's provided solid scoring, and i think he's injured. i would prefer to keep him.
