If they're losing to Pittsburgh in the ECF, it means they've just beaten 2 of Boston, Tampa Bay, and Toronto. If they can do that, then I don't care who wins the Cup this year. - jmatchett383
True. As painful as it is seeing the Pens win, they're likely at the tail end of their run. The Flyers time is coming soon. Not saying they'll have the same success as the Pens, but this team will be very good in a few years. |

Something isn't sitting right when viewing the post content and writing style - doesn't say 92 to me.
Of course we'll never know for sure and I'm done thinking about it so whatever.

If you had to pick. Choose a scenario.
A). Flyers sneak in playoffs with 96 pts then go on a surprise run. Losing in the ECF in OT in game 6. Blues make the playoffs
B). Panthers beat out flyers for playoffs on a tiebreaker. Blues pick is #14 and the flyers catch incredible luck again landing the #3 overall pick - Just5
Don't the Blues have the option to take back their first round pick this year, if they add a third round pick next year? |

Fair enough, Flyers fans should not give a rats ass about the Schenn or the Blues. For me I like Schenn and wish him well but it is the Flyers results that matters. - joegreif17
as long as the Flyers own a blues first rounder I definitely give a rats ass about the Blues. Once the draft pick(s) are settled then I won't give a rats ass about them |

They only get that option if its a top-10 pick. And yes, if the pick is top-10 and they decide to defer the 1st rounder to 2019, the 2019 1st becomes unprotected and the Flyers pick up an extra 3rd in 2020. |

True in a sense, one or two spots difference is a crap shoot in the 20-24 selection. - joegreif17
except right now the pick would land at 15 and should be anywhere from 13-17. I personally would like to see it be the lowest possible but that's me |

No point in picking either of those options, it has already been decided. The Panthers are winning out and the Flyers are losing out. It's done. Over. |

You know, even if the Blues make it, I don't see them taking out one of Nashville/Winnipeg, which would make their pick go from 14 if they miss to, at highest, 17th. So yeah, I agree 14 is better than 17, but it's not like going from 1st to 4th. |

as much as i'd love having a kid like Tkachuk on the team, i LOVE watching playoff hockey. i think even a series in the post season is better for the development of this young team than getting a better prospect who can contribute next year. we have a few youngsters already set to break with the big club....keep drafting well where we're at and build the prospect pool.

Let's say the Flyers had 3 games left in the season, were playing very well, had just beaten a Western Conference powerhouse 2-1, but were 4 points out of a playoff spot.
Would you feel good about the Flyers chances of making the playoffs? |

one exchange I like some feedback on...
Should the Flyers trade for Holtby in the off season, he has 2 years left on his deal at 6.1, in 2 years hart should be ready
would you? and if you would, what deal would you make? |

I wouldn't. As long as Elliott can return from injury either this year or in the offseason, I'd roll with Elliott and one of Lyon/Stolarz next year. Neuvirth would be traded/waived/bought out. It would be nice having Holtby man the nets, but the extra year scares me as that's when Konecny and Provorov's extensions kick in. |

In this dream scenario where we are magically guaranteed svechnikov or zadina, I think one of them will help more |

The cost would likely be very high for the Caps to trade him within the Metro, so no. |

I think Saga was a very underrated band in the U.S.
I don't know for sure, but I'd guess that in Canada they were accurately rated. |

Yeah, that would be bad. You know the Rangers would be up for spoiling the season. |
