Yeah... If Hak actually thought Read and Lehtera could match the Barzal line, that's a major issue lol. This is coming from probably the biggest Read lover on this board too.

Almost as hilarious as the fact that you didn't watch the game or at least see the too many men on the ice penalty.

If you did you would realize the dumb play that caused it was 100% Jake's fault..

- opeth_pa

hopefully Jake gets all the stupid out of his game before the playoff's. That was just dumb.

A lot of coaches might shorten the bench in must win game with 7 minutes left.

still no reason to put out your 4th best line in that situation.

I wondered if AMAC saw limited ice because of his stupid penalty that got wiped out when the Islanders scored but even still, as bad as the third pairing has been I just can't stomach those ice times. Gudas was terrible. He was even g

there is enough video evidence to play Sanheim more, this gudas and manning obsession needs to stop, they are that bad. it was a team lose but when manning and gudas were out there is was chaos, it zaps energy from the team

they've been a terrible pairing. Hagg would be back in if I were making the decision

I don't know. The Filppula line isn't this great defensive line and Simmonds was already lazy once.

Yes he could have come back with one of the top lines. But if he was trying to decide between the Filppula line and the Lehtara line, I think he believed they could be defensively responsible to withstand a push after the goal.

So I was mulling this over this morning.

I don't want a Rinaldo or Carcillo in the lineup, but I think we do need a little bit more crazy. This team is just very vanilla and doesn't play with much "zip" if you will. I loved it when you could throw Lappy/Powe out there and you knew they'd get the team going and were generally responsible defensively. I'd like to see Simmer have a shift like he did leading up to the Washington brawl where he just decided he was going to run over everyone on the ice.

his lack of physical play does make me wonder if we will be hearing about surgery once the season does end for the flyers. Do they have anyone in the pipeline with size who can skate and play heavy? i mean more immediate future....not Ratcliffe future

Jocks don't have to be athletic. Have you even seen a picture of Pete Incaviglia, Mo Vaughn, the average NFL defensive lineman, or Phil Kessel?

defies logic. Looks like guys I play beer league hockey with

I saw Barzal blow past Lehtera like he was a cigar store indian.

The key in the game against Carolina is to insert Weise back in the lineup. As well as maximizing the ice time of Lehtera, Manning, and Gudas.

Wade Allison

Matthew Strome, I know the skating problems but someone who can find the nets and has his hockey IQ will find a roster spot.

Tanner Laczynski, plays a heavy fast game.

if you need the coach to fire you up then there is some big issues. It was on the team. Hak did make a mistake going with the 4th line
- wcorvette

The 4th line was not the issue on that goal. The mistake was made by the top defense pairing and the Flyers #1 defenseman.
