Pouliot - 1.2M x 2 years
Sven B - 3.4M X 3 years
Jake V - 2.4M x 4 years
Darren Archi - UFA, i'd say the minimum for 1 year or pass
Ried B - prob just no

with 80M cap projected, that leaves us 15M of room

They came into the year expecting to be a bubble team, which is exactly what they are. They got a 19 year old kid anchoring the second line and a bunch of kids on defence, they hardly suck, they're just building through the draft.

If EP was on the Canucks we likely would have finished better than we currently set out to. Getting an NHL ready kid in the top 5 can do wonders for any franchise. Completely turns them around sometimes. You guys also have a younger core than we did, our new core is forming nicely though.

Future looks better then it used too. Seeing guys like Sautner and others able to play in the NHL from Utica and not be over run is nice.

I think a good defense will put us in a position to compete sooner than later. Dahlen, Bouchard, or Boqvist are serious needs atm. Zadina or Svech would work well too. We could be a bubble team as early as next season or the season after with any one of those 5. Bouchard/Boqvist look very close to NHL ready. The other 3 definitely are ready.

I don't think Boqvist is close to the NHL.

He had 1 point in 15 games in SHL and 2 points in 7 games in the Allsvenskan.
