If they think Mittelstadt is gonna score 60 next year and be ok defensively, and they're getting a top pair D man, sure look into it.
Can't remember which game it was, but mitts blew a tire at his own blue line and gave up a breakaway. If that had been ROR, people would be saying "lol selke"
They could have center depth that rivals almost any team next year if the keep him.

We'll see by July 1 I guess - jcragcrumple
They also have Asplud, Malone and PU, all Botterill seems very high on. I could see Asplund and Malone give the chance at making the jump next year.

By the time this team is ready, ROR and/or Okposo will be of no use for this team.
One has to go and ROR has the better value.
Get the backend fixed and the wingers will fall into place. The centers are already here. You can afford to move ROR now rather than later. - dadeadhead
i can't see anyone taking on Okposo contract with his Concussion issues.. i hate to say it but he is a ticking time bomb.. too bad he is a decent player and seems to be a decent guy. but, like most he got overpaid in free agency
No? Ok trade him. Before you can’t when you actually need to - sbroads24
If the league operated that way, every team but the blackhawks, penguins and kings should have been trading players left and right for the last nine years.
You just end up chasing your tail on a never-ending rebuild. Edm just tried this by getting rid of Eberle and Hall.

Correct which unfortunately makes ROR the logical choice to be moved.

even if they make the jump they won't be anything more than fringe nhl players at the time.. they should all start in the AHL.. let them start their pro career by at least winning more than 25% of their games

nylander is already a bum to many

Freidman's 31 speculated that the org wasn't happy with Nylander in the weeks (and months) after his return and wanted to trade him. Bott's response:
Botterill denied that, saying it was way too soon. Nylander had 13 points in his first 32 AHL games, 13 in his last 16, and has earned a test drive. The GM wouldn’t come right out and say it, but there’s a sense it isn’t easy for Alex to see older brother William’s success in Toronto. William was a point-per-game guy in two AHL seasons and a full-time NHLer by age 20.
“Alex has to understand that he could still be playing at OHL Mississauga,” Botterill said. “He’s got plenty of time to make an impact.”
This fits in with Bott's patient and measured approach.

This is great to hear, it's too early to give up him. But, it's ridiculous that guy's like Girgensons and Larsson aren't actively being shopped. Even if there are presently no buyers, they should still be on the store shelf.
Nylander 19 years old, 5 NHL games, ship him out. Girgensons, 24 years old, 300 NHL games, 12pts per year average, flops around like a fish, but let's keep him for the long haul.

It's not like it's ever going to change the only thing you're doing is probably starting a war and I really don't want to see people die just so they can be free
