There are better options of second line players without needing to overspend . Sven ended up with 29 points I am sure you can do better than that. Loui Eriksson ended up with 23 that is embarrissing

I could see a play for Riley Nash or Stastny.
EK they will definitely look into & every reason the same for Carlson. Adding to that maybe one bad contract for another pick(s).

I could see a play for someone too. Why wouldn't JB with cap space and unproven players. I would love to have another Vanek but for every Vanek there is a Eriksson. For every MDZ there is a Brenden Smith.

But that said, both have injury issues and even with increased PP time/more O-zone starts, I don't see them as being able to replace Danny and Hank's production. That said, a lot depends on the makeup of the team after the draft, UFA and training camp.

I don't believe that JB is willing to give up the depth just yet with so many injuries. I don't know who JB plans on going after in free agency either.

Sutter is on the same scoring pace as last season. With a minute less TOI per game.
