You know what...you are probably correct with that. I didnt think of him.

After you brought up the Masterton it got me thinking about it and who's won it in past years. Thought about Anderson and his wife, Dominic Moore and his wife, Harding and MS, and Lappy's concussion and thought what player had something off the ice to overcome this year and immediately thought of Boyle. |

Better than go Bean Town.
Also, I’ll say it: I think the Flyers need to win game one to have a chance in the series.

Yea, rooting for Boston never deeps right either. It's just that up until yesterday it had been, cheer for anyone playing Florida, and now a day later I'm pulling for them. |

Pens have a ridiculous home record and are sub 500 on the road.
Wasnt aware how poor they were on the road actually..
Pens are 17-20-4 on the road. |

G had more points and the flyers would not be in the playoffs without him. Yeah ok maybe the same could be said of the Devs and Hall but G had more points. Plus NJ Devils.
The only reason Hall would win over G is Philly bias. - bird_dog_pa
I’m curious, who’s biased against Philly/the Flyers? The NHL? The Hockey Writers Association? Why? |

Yep! And their goaltending has been up and down as well. If Moose plays solid, and the Flyboys can jump on Murray, it would change everything. They no longer have Fleury to bail them out.
The other wild card is the officiating. If they call every iffy penalty, it’s gonna suck! If they let em play, it’s a huge boost in our favor.
Here’s hoping Giroux levels Crosby on the first shift, and sets the tone again!!😊👍
C’mon Flyers!!!!!!!!!!!

AS bad as they are on the road they have the second best record in the league at home with a 30-9-2 record..
that is insane. |

I forgot about Veleno. Wasn't he granted exceptional status? Would certainly be an interesting choice. |

From Bill Barber losing the Calder trophy to some guy I never heard of despite having more points. To Bob Froese losing Vezina to Vanbiesbrouck in 85-86 despite having much better save % and gga. I am sure there are more if I were to dig.
Giroux gets little respect outside Philadelphia. He gets left off Canada's world cup teams etc.
Maybe it's just me but it seems like Giroux isn't the sexy pick. |

I was watching NHL network today and Giroux was only mentioned as a Hart candidate in passing and only when they did a segment on the Flyers.
Hall was mentioned plenty |

He was, never really ever put up big offensive numbers. Still think he is solid.

another necessary condition is Flyers must improve PK, without that they are toast. |

NHL Network is owned by theNHL and NBC. Regis works for NBC. Comcast owns NBC and the Flyers. Why would NBC allow an anti-Flyers bias? |

Yeah, in the 14 15 range I couldn't argue with that pick.
Just saw a new bleacher report mock draft that has us taking Serron Noel with the Blues pick and passing over Farabee twice. 👎👎👎 |
