I struggled with the same. The west was really tough to predict this year, especially when you get Winnipeg and Nashville (presumably) in round 2 as well.
I didnt like the odds of me getting it right, but my final 4 was Tampa, Columbus, Winnipeg, San Jose; with Winnipeg winning over Tampa in the end - WhiteLie
wow those are bold predictions.
Would love to see WPG do it and get the cup back to Canada in the Bettman era but they will not only have to beat top teams they will have to battle garys refs as well...gonna be tough but man it would be great to see someone do it. |

what’d he do? - Nucker101
he wasn't reachable when media wanted to talk about the Sedins and retirement.
the one little blurb I read mentioned he might have been unreachable because he had personal stuff going on, and wasn't sure if they were hinting towards mental illness or depression for AC.
when AC finally started saying anything, he was lashing out at the Vancouver media.
not sure what was said off air, or on air.
If they couldn't reach Anson Carter, they should have just said they couldn't reach him or not mention him to any great detail.
there was something mentioned about AC being at a basketball game in the east on the Tuesday, 3rd last game, and yet couldn't take the time out to say a few words about the Sedins. - prolly something more to that. |

Yeah, I didnt want to pick Winnipeg, but they are a deep team and relatively healthy. President's Trophy winners dont often win and I like that opportunity for an upset. Columbus is my darkhorse choice every year they make it. This is going to be the year they finally dont disappoint
But realistically ANA will win the west, bust my whole bracket and lose to PIT in the finals |

Thats a bold one right there. Vasilevskiy admitting to being tired had me looking for upsets, but I think that might happen vs BOS in round 2 if at all |

Schneider is about to prove why he was worth Horvat and Hall is going to dominate. Tampa are going to show (like Vegas) why small and fast don’t work and Benning will flip flop prior to the draft, only picking guys with a 🥩 and 🥔 game. |

ASL your Greener hate is misguided, he did interview for the job, just that they (Trev & Bensey) didn’t have any other candidates. What’s he supposed to say when they offer him a job? - 1970vintage

Guess how many wins Schneider has this year? ZERO
He will likely be bought out in the summer |

He lost his job and has zero wins this year. He is 32 and has 4 more years at $6MM per. Bit pricey for a backup isn't it? I am sure they will try and trade him but can't imagine their is a market for that contract. Only way he stays is if Kinkaid sucks in the playoffs. |

Markstrom and a first for Schneider
You guys are getting too critical of such a small part of the tale I wove. NJ isn’t getting past Tampa, fast hockey is winning, Benning won’t abandon the course so easily, the Canucks are picking Zadina!
Also, what are you wrong about? Only everything |

Minnisota followed by Nashville will not be easy either.
I'm calling San Jose Vs. Nashville and Tampa vs. Pitt
Tampa is the winner this year I think barring major injury
Winnipeg vs. Nashville will be a hell of a second round series if it happens. Just not sure how healthy Schiefele is. |

I like their chances with Dubois coming in hot and facing Washington instead of Pitt first round. - neem55
I was already thinking the Washington implosion is about to happen, and news of Holtby not starting makes me feel better about my pick. Caps obviously have some solid youth, but the cracks are there and I wonder if they are about to follow the Canucks' slide from President Trophy candidates if they dont shake things up this summer |
