C’mon man!
We should be able to snag McDavid and say, Daisaitl...maybe their 1st as well. |

After the top five there's still some very good players in the draft if we can land a top pick around 6 or 7 you could possibly Land one of the defenseman
Trading Ryan O'Reilly would be the smartest thing for this organization to get some pieces to get us in the right direction |

I guess that makes sense
How much of an effect will it have though?

It is reasonable to assume the icetime Mittelstadt takes away from ROR would be offensively as opposed to defensively - jdfitz77
Casey was 17/19 for faceoffs if he can get some Paul gaustad training in the summer that be huge |

That is true ..
I see the leafs getting killed in the second round then I do Boston
I would be livid if I saw Boston in the Stanley Cup

I agree.
I have been thinking to myself that it would be a good year to get back into another high selection and go with a Dman that will take a couple years before we see him.
I won’t be disappointed if they pick 4th and grab Boqvist...let him percolate next year to develop further...then the assumption lockout year would give him another year of development...could be the perfect plan.
Now if the draft 2nd...maybe, just maybe they could trade back 3 spots and pick up another 1st in 2019.
Thoughts to consider anyway. |

I’d love nothing more than to see the Laughs lose in 4.
Their fans postings would be epic!
I’m rooting for Tampa, it they will have a tough time against the Devils, I think they lost all their games to them this past season.
Oh, and San Jose to win the cup so we can get their 1st next year...a grand 31st overall....yeah us! |

I would take a good prospect + a top 15 pick.
Maybe the latter Islanders pick + Ho-Sang.
They lose JT by any chance and that’s a big opportunity IMO - sbroads24
I was intrigued by a sign and trade for JT, but that dude's gonna make 10m x 8 years right?
The wheels are gonna fall off tavares in 4 years imo |

You're operating under the assumption that they're gonna be bad next year. There's no chance that they liquidate for futures. They have to be better next year, or they're gonna lose the fans.
They're gonna try to ice the best product possible. They only way I see O'Reilly moving is for another productive player. They just can't afford to be bad anymore |

Didn’t they try to win this year ? I remember people saying playoffs in the summer saying that this team was going to make Noise.
What’s going to be different this time ?
I like ROR but what difference has he made we are still trash by the time we’re good his good years will be gone and his value might be lower

If we got a top 10 pick Plus a good player for Ryan O’Reilly win - gerbe75pts
I would trade him for a young center like lindholm (Carolina center, maybe I’m spelling it wrong). They want to win now, get the better player, we get the younger player.
Add nylander in for one of their young defensemen they might have expendable . Win win for both teams. |

Fair enough, I don't see short term success on the priority list for current management. I am willing to gamble on moving veteran assets to restructure the core.

Moulson, Josefson, Criscuolo, Pouliot, Griffith, Larsson, Girgensons, Ocho, Nolan
Mittelstadt, Erod, Baptiste, ullmark, Guhle, maybe Nylander, Bailey, plus a top 4 pick.
And that's just the likely turnover |

And this argument is so boring dude. OEL, Seguin, P. Kane, McDavid, Karlsson.
Good players miss the playoffs. There are 23 players on a roster. 6 good players doesnt cut it. And you're projecting RORs demise way prematurely |

Just a hypothetical.
Who would be for or against, GMJB making this move if presents itself.
Sabres get the #2 pick, Dahlin's off the table. GMJB thinks Boqvist of Hughes can be a top pair possibly #1 guy. GMJB trades the number 2 pick for the #5 or #6, a 2019 1st and a decent young winger. |

we were 31st place with him. |
