I don't know man.
I'm not one to look at points and say a guy's playing well or giving maximum effort.
The dude had multiple stretches of 0 5 on 5 production. - sbroads24
and im not one to look at the other team sitting on their 3 goal lead so the sabres start generating shots as a sign of effort increasing
so unless we can get inside of the players heads, i have nothing better to offer |

Buh Bye:
Nolan, I mean c'mon brotha. We're square with the Nolan family now
Gorges, Thanks for trying, you're a good guy but we are heading in a different direction
Pouliot, Montreal likes our garbage
Girgs, 2 way deal for league min.
Larsson, We will try to trade you, but get used to the Ahl lifestyle again
Josefson, good luck in Europe, injuries crushed any chance here
Beaulieu, waived
Johnson, let him walk
Lehner, send him to a 6 month resort to get his head back on right, then send him home
The tough ones:
Bogo - (frank) me, I dont know
Moulson - retire
Okposo - Play ball with us and we can try to move you to a better team (eat celery)
Ror - We have to be better as an organization and it starts with leadership. We appreciate your efforts but we are heading in a different direction.
My project loans don't come through for another 2 weeks, I'm going to be logging some hrs on here.

Who are the quitters? Despite his points ROR is front and center with me. I hear about players who quit, but no one can define who is actually quitting. - gcomella34
That's because no one on this board knows that. But Housley and Botterill do. |

My assumption was that he was speaking in general.
Kovy to the Rangers, good start to their rebuild. - washedup20
I see what your saying.
Hard to have the realistic cap space for a team to trade for ror at the deadline.
Also a playoff bound team would have to part with some of their roster players, guys that put them in the playoff position. |

just because we think he should be a Chara-clone because he’s tall , don't make him one. maybe he will never be a killer. that is not a reason to run him out of town. - hehateme
They run people out of town all the time around here.

ROR admits the losing made him lose the love for the game this year and that he wasn’t mentally tough enough. #Sabres

I don't think I have ever been more sick of a players excuses.
Just shut up already. There is 0 chance this dude ever wears the C - sbroads24
He gets a microphone stuck in his face EVERY SINGLE day by the Buffalo media asking him the same stupid crap. He wants to "shut up" but the media won't let him.
And people think I'm crazy for suggesting the media is part of the problem ....... |

Botterill has a lot of work to do to figure out which players fit this team and a winning formula. And here's why ROR will never be captain of any team. Weak ass punk. Start with the culture and keep churning the talent. - TheSabresTaco
He hates losing it sounds like to me ........... maybe we need more guys like him not less ????? |

This is probably his way of saying he wants out of Buffalo.
I said all year, dude is a total fraud - sbroads24
Hardly a fraud ..... he's gonna get moved and he will kick butt wherever he goes.
He'll be what Kane is in San Jose. |

ROR is a fine player, slow, but can still score on a crappy team. He put up 60+ points on a team that was HORRIBLE... keep all of that in perspective please. This team needs a massive overhaul, but ROR is not the problem... - hehateme
He absolutely is part of the problem and it's all related to what he says in interviews.
He therefore needs to go and be replaced by someone that can at least come up with new material every now and then. |

Agreed, but he's vanilla in all of his responses. I'm sick of hearing how bad he thinks he is in games. Seems like he's saying the right thing in front of the camera. Then that statement, I've lost my love from the game, go find it somewhere else or turn this around by leading. - gcomella34
Yet another who wants him out of town due to poor interviewing skills.
It's getting comical actually.......... |

ROR has always been exceptionally hard on himself. ALWAYS. Even in junior. Everyone in the league knows this. His answers in interviews are nothing new. He has been giving the same answers his whole career. I don't understand why people think this is some kind of new thing.
C'mon man, 95% of hockey players give the same tired bullpoop answers to every interview question. |

I feel like that's worse? - Sabresfan-365
poopting on ROR for not being able to motivate a group of players that's been reported multiple times for being a "country club" style locker room...?
Jack said the same poop last year... a lot of the players on the team are just happy being in the NHL.
Then people crucified Jack for "throwing the team under the bus."

you can, if you win. He's the one who wanted out to assume a larger leadership role. Now he can't do the very job he desperately wanted?

That's a great summary.
I really flip flop on ror . You guys have made some good points on moving him. I like him though, and his speed and effort are underrated when watching him up live for 25 games this season.
I also think that allows jack the "C" without anyone's vagina hurting. |

i dont think pommer was ever really the leader type. And I've wanted rid of those others for quite some time
I dont believe for a second that it is strictly ROR's fault. but hes the biggest ticket who would bring back the biggest haul addressing the greatest number of needs.
I would at the very least see what's out there and whether it does more for the team long term than keeping ROR at 7.5 mil. |

Me too.. I'm not opposed to trading him by any means. He's a highly sought after asset. It's just the constant badgering that I find pretty hypocritical.
"HrrDerr he doesn't make his linemates better!" Then the next thousand comments and 10 blogs are about how his linemates suck. Okposo being sh!t the whole year, Reinhart being a ghost for 65% of the season.
Then it's on to how much ice time he gets, and we still lose games, like he's supposed to be playing every fking position on the ice. Then it rolls into how bad our defense is, how bad our goaltending is, how bad our wingers are, but "Ermahgerd ROR played 20mins of ice time and we lose omg."
Dude's not perfect by any means, but with the way people on here get after him you would think he's been wearing a fckin' burqa on the ice. |

If it's not him it's somebody else. It's just Buffalo sports fans ........ never changes. I think many don't even want the teams to win actually ....... they'd have to find something else to be miserable about. |
