Yeah, Browns are going to (frank) us or save us picking Allen.
Unless we thought we could get to 2, there’s no reason we would see Darnold - sbroads24
It’s going to be a massive fail for this organization if they don’t get one of the top 3 and let the jets walk right over them |

I'm surprised you think that. Only time will tell, but I don't see it. He's been mediocre at best for the better part of two seasons. If he played well for the Flames last year, I'd wonder, but he did not. - RhinoFan
Winning record.
2.59 SV % (27th best in NHL)

Why'd he restructure for less money a month ago if he now wants more money? |

That's what's so mystifying. It's like Nolan saying "I'm not happy with my playing time"
If he had just signed a one-year deal last year, he could have gone back to sweden, no hard feelings - jcragcrumple
we have more bottom 6 guys than we'll ever need, and many have surpassed, Grigs, Larsson, and Nolan. It's time to move on from them. Having them on the roster will have us near the bottom again next year, their 10 pts per season does not help. It's like Freud's definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Pommers (because we have no choice, Erod, Wilson, Mitts (if Oreilly stays), Bap, Bailey, Smith, Oregan, Malone, Pu, Olofsson, asplund... should make up our bottom 6 next season.
Girgs, Nolan, Josefson, Larrson, and any guy who can't produce at least 25pts in a full season, need to be shown the door.
And, for Heaven's sake, No more Criscuolo's and Grant's making the team out of training camp. 28 year old AHL washouts, do not magically turn their careers around in training camp. |

So much this.
"Girgensons isn't the problem." He kinda is. You're not gonna get a surprising season from him. You might get a surprising season from someone else. That's gotta be worth a try. Girgensons is probably tradeable too. Nolan, Josefson, Pouliot, Girgensons, Larson, Moulson. They should all go. It's the easiest way to remake half the forwards.
Thankfully Moulson is already gone |

Bottom 6's are so interchangeable. If all they do is change out thee bottom 6, I guarantee the Sabres are in 31st place next year. |

The modern approach seems to be that your top-2 lines have one "bottom-6" player on it, so you can roll 3-4 lines instead of two, sort of the Pittsburgh model
Girgs plays with Eichel for this purpose and came up with 15 points in that role. I think a different guy could do better. Hopefully another guy could also push Wilson down the depth chart. |

Why hasn't Botts traded for Price yet????
My sources tell me he is getting a lot of heat from the female population in Montreal. I was texting my friend (The Dominator) and he said sh*t is hitting the fan up there!!
Tomorrows press conference hopefully has some indicator of a direction the nacho hater wants to head in. |

Overall not horrible, but again, at the end of last year he was already turning into a nightmare. In his final 16 games, he was 5-11, with a .889 save percentage during that time. He essentially had 3 shutouts in his first 13 games, that kept his overall SV% a bit higher than it would have been. He plummeted down to those numbers, speaking to his inconsistency.
Actually if you take out those 3 shutouts he had at the start of the year, he was at .898 again for the year... |

.@68INCOGNITO on his pay cut: "It pisses me the f off. The contract and all that pissed me the f off and all that, but (retiring) has nothing to do with that." On whether there was a chance he'd change his mind: "Absolutely not." More to come. |

I’m not sure how much you think your average bottom 6 player produces, but it isn’t that much |

It's more about the "plug and play" in the top-6 idea.
If he's centering the 4th line sure, but if they're trying to spread out the talent to the top-6 like they did, he becomes a problem |

Yeah that’s true. The good teams have lines that dominate in the top 6.
Bruins have 3 30 goal scorers this year. Two of them missed some games too. We had 0.
Jets had 5 guys over 20 goals and a 40 goal scorer.
Our top 6 is still a huge issue |

Ha, sounds like a thing gerbe would do. 😂😂.
Liked Richie. But let’s start getting some youth into the bills organization. We are an old old team. Change change things quick in football though with good picks and cap space, two things we have this year then next. |

culture.
top paid players must produce offense
bottom paid players must perform the roles that they are slotted into
All players must forcheck
All players must backcheck
All players must give their all every night
All players must buy into their coach's system
All players must want to be there
In certain respects, the highest paid players deserve a majority of the blame. But a bottom six takes more skills and smarts to put together. They are used primarily in defensive situations, and are almost if not as important as your top 6.
Let's not pretend bottom six don't deserve blame and top six deserve all blame. It's a team sport, and you need every player on that bench firing on all cylinders in the same (frank)ing direction. This team didn't. And that's culture. Team culture and individual culture. |

Carter Hutton wants to be a 1A. I wonder if he's worth a look for a 2 year deal. Someone that can play maybe 60-40 with Ullmark, |
