He's got to keep at least the rules the same as he did for Vegas so it will be another dilution of existing teams. There's got to be a better way.

i'm guessing we fall back 1 spot, which is a win considering our luck. 2 spots would suck.

All I know is Vegas is exempt from the Seattle expansion. So Seattle to playoffs year one will probably be a thing

Unfortunately, Bettman is on the record as saying it will be the same rules as the Vegas expansion draft.

I was kinda hoping Vegas would win the Cup this year, so 30 owners (hell, Vegas would probably join in) would tell Bettman to shove it, no way they would allow another team to take so many good players.

We can't draft 5th. We either win a lottery pick (1-3 - combined 23%) or we stay at 6th, fall to 7th, 8th or 9th (only 2%). Our most likely picks are 7th or 8th (combined 58% chance). So I would be thrilled with 6 and fine with 7.

I get your point, but I really hope Vegas doesn't win the cup because you would cheapen the entire experience. Cup stories are usually pretty good and the Vegas story would be so shallow. So artificial.

I would like to see the Preds do it. Solid fan base. Well managed franchise. Good product.

Saw this movie the other day called Night Crawler or something and it was literally all about manipulation, both personally and by the media. It's an older movie I think but the subject matter has become so true in our current MSM situation.
