Ya, I was a bit hasty there. There's a lot to guess at when you just toss out a number. If you don't put goalies in there, there is still stuff eating into it. I just assume you're estimating low on salaries, and I do think you did.

What salaries am I low on?
Can’t see Nelson or McCabe getting more than 2-2.5
Sam around 4 seems right
Even if it’s 5, that’s only 1mil more

And with a good year, i can’t see Ullmark at more than 2.5

And i did say without any major moves

Not that he isn’t a nice player,
but we have a bunch of 3rd line talent

Zadorov could grow into something,
but has been pretty up & down to this point from what I’ve heard

Plus,
If we do trade O’Reilly...
maybe we get pieces back that are better than them
