So many great matchups! I think CBJ is under rated for sure. - 1970vintage
I hated them for the bracket challenge because they are all very close, but really interested to watch how they play out |

I think it'll be a close series, but I'm guessing Vegas in 6. I think their speed will be the deciding factor. Heard last night LA hasn't won a series since their last Cup in '14... they're going down the same path as the Canucks. - NewYorkNuck
Very possible. However the Nucks never had a Doughty or Kopitar style player. I still think LA will find a way to bring Vegas to their game.
LA in 7 most likely. |

Apparently Bobrovsky did some therapy to adjust his mental state in dealing with the playoffs. If he's his regular season self, he could steal numerous rounds - WhiteLie
It's a good point, he's pretty legit. I really like Dubois too. |

I thought about that too...but in my playoff/bracket pool I have the Pens beating Nashville in the final...again.
My backdoor pick was WPG over the Bruins in 6 or 7. - LordHumungous
I did two brackets, Nashville over Boston and Pittsburgh over Winnipeg. I have Jets and Penguins my my player pool 🤞 |

They arent a flashy team, but they have pretty good depth and proven they can go on runs
The @BlueJacketsNHL are the third team in NHL history to post a win streak of 10+ games in consecutive seasons, joining Philadelphia (1984-85, 1985-86) and Pittsburgh (2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13). #NHLStats |

I had that, but the critics in here about Tampa convinced me to switch my conference final outcome. I got Winnipeg beating Columbus in the smallest market final - WhiteLie
Bettman will never let that happen |

LA has some prospects in Clague Anderson-Dolan and Vilardi, to go along with some young roster players like Kempe, we had Horvat only. |

Not really. McDavid was heralded as the next Gretzky. No one was taking that #1 spot. Same with Dahlin, no one is taking it. Eichel would have gone #1 in this draft if that is what you are getting at. - neem55
Nope... no way would Eichel go number one over Dahlin if they where the same age. |

Agree to disagree. D have only gone first once in a while for a reason. It's well known Eichel is a clear #1 in any year but the McDavid draft. He would have gone first over Matthews, according to scouts at that draft. N o way Dahlin gets drafted over either Matthews or Eichel IMO |

Powerplay is the issue for them, if they can get it going I think they could go to the conference finals. Jones is legit. Dubois seems pretty legit |

Historically there has never been a Defencemen so heralded as dahlin since Orr. Not one of the defencemen drafted in the first round in the past 25 years has achieved what he is capable of.
His is a rare rare talent, far rarer then Eichel.
Eichels draft comparables as a forward over the past 25 years, Mathews, MacKinnon, Malkin, sakic, hall, OV, Forsberg, kariya, Sedins, Iginla, Stamkos, Nash, etc.... great players all, but not a Crosby, Grezky, McDavid level player.
Now let's look at Dahlins draft comparables over the past 25 years..... going into the draft there are no defencemen who entered the draft with his credentials over the last 25 years. From what players turned out to be I'd say leach as a low and Lidstrom as a high, but not the ceiling.
Dahlin has the potential to be a ppg defencemen.
Hindsight is 2020 but in a redraft with Crosby, McDavid, Mathews, Eichel and Dahlin all entering as 18yo players, Eichel and Mathews get picked last. |

Personally I see Crosby, McDavid and most likely Dahlin as generational in the current era.
Nothing against Matthews and Eichel, to me those are franchise players and I'd be more than happy with them, but they aren't generational and tend to be found every year. |
