Pass on OEL. Go after Carlson from WAS. - LordHumungous
3x10m trade with retained salary.
Profit.
He's no franchise player, but he is top 4 |

Speed is severely lacking and it shows. Canucks need to embrace a youthful fast team. Pittsburgh is still a deep team, they've got a lot of guys who can still bring it when the playoffs come around. - LeftCoaster
Helps having 2 great centres that can be pretty belligerent when need be. |

no he won't - CanuckDon
Cant be any worse. I'm going to say he'll score at least one more point this year. Now that the twins are gone there isn't anything to hold him back. I hope that he gets an A. |

IMO Malkin is so under-appreciated because of Crosby, his career numbers in both the regular season and playoffs are outstanding. Guy is just so good!! |

has the series started yet? Truthfully they don't have a hope trying to compete with Pittsburghs depth. Their second line center is a 19 year old rookie kid, Pitts is Malkin.
Flyers will win a game but other than Giroux and Voracek they don't have much at forward. - LeftCoaster

If he plays with Boeser and Horvat next season maybe they could inflate his perceived worth and actually trade him at the deadline... - 1970vintage

He had an "ok" year but hasn't played well down the stretch. I think he had 46 points this year. |

I'm not sure if he's in my top 3 anymore, but he definitely shouldve been a part of the NHL's top 100 over a few others |

Goaltending definitely is a big problem in Flyer land...they haven't had anyone decent since...well forever.
Scoring some goals also helps. - Reubenkincade
Since Hextall was in net.
Not sure why it's such and issue in Flyerville but decades pass and they refuse to address it. Kind of like the Flames and their bottom 6 scoring... |

Thank god we're rumored to be signing a generational player.
They don't usually hit the open market. |

He quietly finished four in NHL scoring and no one ever talks about him, 98 points in 78 games 1.26 P/PG.
I think he's top 20 in both regular season and playoffs in NHL history for points per game? |

What's the Largest contract Arizona has ever committed to????
I'd be curious to know.
OEL is worth what? $55 - $70 million
The owner of the team probably isnt even worth that much.
I still think they trade him |

I tried to find something, but I think Mike Smith's 6-year $34m is the biggest they signed themselves. OEL's 6-year $33m is the next largest, and Shane Doan's biggest were 4-5 year terms totalling $21-22m
They have obviously taken on other bad contracts but usually at the tail end or insurance covered |

I think when they traded for stephan he had $32 million owing as well.
I just can't see the cheapest team in the league committing to a long term contract.
Especially when he'll probably get like $15 million in signing bonuses the day of. |

What is the relationship between Babcock and Kadri? Kadri seems like a player that would drive Babcock nuts.
Hey, I used cock and nuts in the same sentence. |
