IMO, Moss >Rice> TO> Calvin Johnson in terms of greatness - sbroads24
Well since Rice is widely considered the best football player of all time, I’d say you’re incorrect. Moss isn’t in the best NFL player of all time convo.....ever. |

I have it as:
1.)Rice
2A) TO
2B) Moss
3.) Larry Fitz
4.) Megatron
The numbers Rice put up is insane considering how he was beat to hell and the lack of passing in his ERA puts him at #1 for me.
Moss and TO man those two were crazy good, but they both had people to lean on Moss had Carter, TO had Rice.
They were just so good.

I'd strongly disagree on that.
Moss doesn't have Rice's numbers, but in their primes, Moss was the superior player.
He's the second most physically gifted reciever ever, besides Calvin |

You have to look at the rules and the ERA they were playing in.
Makes me wonder what Rice could do in this modern passing era (you know every team except the Bills )
Rice put up over 1800 yards in 1 season (in 1995)...the closest Moss got...1600 |

Rice's longevity seperates him from the others in terms of records.
But he played with the GOAT until Manning/Brady were in the convo, then played with another HOF in Young. Then an MVP in Gannon.
Moss had to deal with Kerry Collins and other garbage for 2 years in Oakland, and missed Culpepper for large parts of 2 seasons |

Was he a HOF QB?
Nope.
TO only had Young for the 1st 3 years and 4 games then had Garcia. - dadeadhead
He was one of the top quarterbacks in the league the last part of his career.

Sorry but when it comes to best player of all time, he’s right up there. Moss is never mentioned. |

Is there a chance the Sharks fall off the cliff and miss the playoffs next year with it being a 2019 1st round pick, if they get it? - kingcong39[/quote

Got the answer on the conditional first-round pick #Sabres got from #Sharks for Evander Kane.
If conditions are met, Sharks would keep the pick if they wind up in lottery next year.
Buffalo would then get San Jose's first-rounder (no matter what/where) in 2020.

You're mistaken:
75.6 yards per game is better than Moss 70.1
5.1 catches per game is better than Moss 4.5
Moss was better at yards per catch 15.6 to 14.8 and had a better TD per game .71 to .65 (if you factor in his rushing TDs it's .68 Moss doesn't have any)
If they played in the same amount of games Rice would have more yards and more catches than Moss, Moss would have more TD's though
Then you have to factor in the ERA of which he played. The rules were in favor of Moss. |

Just for curiosity sake, let’s say Kane scores a point per game in the playoffs for the sharks.
What do we think his next deal will be? Do you think that would earn him 7mil AAV for 5-6? |

How the heck can u have Moss over Rice?
Or anyone for that matter?
It’s like listing someone ahead of Gretzky
It’s just not close statistically at all,
plus take into account how much less passing/receiving stats were when Rice played
He’s far & away the #1 WR |

156 receiving TD’s for Moss. 2nd all time and stopped playing full time at 33.
TO and Rice played 5-7 years more.

We got t.0 when he was what 33 ? And the downside of his career how would dez not be bigger
Agreed with the Entertainment part - gerbe75pts
Look up TO's stats the 3 years before he came to Buffalo (actually look at all of them). Then look up Dez's stats the last 3 years. There's your answer.
Couldn’t the argument be said that he had Hall of Famer QBs tossing him the ball ? - gerbe75pts
Assuming this post was about TO, he had Young from 96-98 (Young played only 3 games in 99), Garcia, McNabb, Romo, Fitz/Edwards, and Palmer.
I guess one could make the argument, but (s)he shouldn't. |
