I think Haglin is 28 and winning mentality would be a welcome addition to this group especially when he turns up his game to another level in the playoffs - gerbe75pts
Hagelin will be 30 by September.
I mean I wouldn’t hate it |

But is keeping ROR & Risto really “standing pat” though?
Mittelstadt
Top4 pick
Guhle
Nelson
Ullmark
Rodrigues
Bailey
Baptiste
Wilson
All guys projected to be in our starting lineup on opening night that we’re not this past season
I realize each player’s talent level differs...
but those guys are talented
and provide a major upgrade in speed/skating
Changing out 1/3 of your roster is NOT
“standing pat” imo - jdfitz77
in the context of this conversation, yes. His point was that we should keep all 3, my point was that if they aren't actually impact players, you're better off moving them for assets (good ones not bad ones) |

Hey I don’t dislike McNabb, I think he’s just fine.
But it’s funny to me how Myers has been trashed for so long that he’s actually becoming under rated.
He literally does everything. Top 4 minutes 5 on 5. Top PK, and 2nd PP unit, 30+ points. On the ice in final minute to hold onto lead. All on a top 3 team.
He never turned out like we thought, and probably isn’t a 5.5 per D man, but we without a doubt could use him with our defense. - sbroads24
Good god
How was i “trashing Myers” in your opinion?
U think being in a 2nd pair role on a good team isn’t a better situation to succeed in than being “the man” here on a crappy team?!

Pick a different word if you want. You understand the point. Status quo sound better? No wording makes it palatable to me. - Lunaion
I think you’re missing my point
Forget the wording...
Do u agree we are adding 4 “core” players to our starting lineup next year?
Do u think that will make a significant impact... Even if not right way, eventually? |

They made it to the conference finals and lost to the one team better than them in the east.

You need to check your history they’ve never won a game one in round one ..
They’re biggest chokers in history their top players don’t show up ever
Congratulations they made it to the Eastern conference finals the cream cheese of the conference and they lost to who ?
I cannot wait for John Wall to absolutely smear you guys next game you guys are done |

Well, a ton of people bashed him until we got rid of him.
Which is fine, I was wrong about him for the longest time. He’s certainly not great.
I think a ton of players get this negative reputation for so long that they eventually become almost under rated. You hear players compared to Myers as worst case scenarios, like St. Louis fans hoping Parayko didn’t turn into him. Evander Kane probably falls in that category. I’ve under rated Kane at times. (I still don’t think resigning him was a good idea)

and yet they've won several round one's. You really don't understand what it means to choke |

They have now!
And they lost to NBA Champs in the conference finals, and beat the Heat.
They have won more games than any other eastern conference playoff team in the last 2 years, except Cavs.
But hey who cares about facts!

Ok...
but do u subscribe to my theory that as our team becomes more talented,
you will see the “impact” of the good players we do have increase in productivity?
Or do u just think they’ll stay the same? |

I'm not missing your point. I haven't even been discussing your point. I'm not particularly interested in it. There's no new angle on this to make me want to continue with this core. It's a flawed group and it's not good enough.
If you really want me to, then I'll just point out that 3/4 of those players are already on the team. The 4th is a draft pick we haven't made. Making your draft pick isn't change, it's standing pat.

That’s great i’ll be sure to see their parade after they Choke in the first round ..
Are you guys really bringing up 2016 ? The softest cream cheese playoffs let’s be honest the Eastern conference would get absolutely killed by any of the western teams in the playoffs ..
Heat are the only ones taking out the West this year enjoy The first round exit |
