Well, a ton of people bashed him until we got rid of him.
Which is fine, I was wrong about him for the longest time. He’s certainly not great.
I think a ton of players get this negative reputation for so long that they eventually become almost under rated. You hear players compared to Myers as worst case scenarios, like St. Louis fans hoping Parayko didn’t turn into him. Evander Kane probably falls in that category. I’ve under rated Kane at times. (I still don’t think resigning him was a good idea) - sbroads24
So you’re talking about Myers being trashed from 3 years ago?
Idk what that matters now?
My point in my original response...
Myers needed a change of scenery, and going to a good team where he wasn’t pressured to be “the guy” helped
Idk if he could’ve become the player he is now if he was still stuck here with those expectations
And McNabb, although admittedly also in good situations, has played well & i think could be helping us now
Big difference between their situations is that McNabb wouldn’t have been hampered by the expectations & pressure here that Myers was
But in a vacuum...
both are solid players that would be upgrades here |

They have now!
And they lost to NBA Champs in the conference finals, and beat the Heat.
They have won more games than any other eastern conference playoff team in the last 2 years, except Cavs.
But hey who cares about facts!

Hysterical!
Why do you make this a race thing. Hater.
So if one ethnic group (in general) is afraid of another ethnic group (in general), what were the reasons for this? It sure isn’t simple by any means. Somewhere in there though is that one ethnic group experienced something to cause that worry they have.
Point is, it all isn’t vanilla and chocolate... there are many variations of twists...I.e. all sides are complicit in the long running problem.
Using the flag and anthem as THE platform is offensive to me...pick another one and I’m willing to truly listen...if others are willing to truly listen - IonSabres
I have to jump in here. That's 100% bullpoop, racism was around much, much, much longer than black people have been free and committing just all the crime, it's been around since before they were deemed only 3/5 of a person.
What did they do? They were kidnapped from their homeland and forced into a lifetime of hard labor and torture. That's what they did.
White people hated them because they were, to borrow from Hitler, untermenschen, subhuman, why should they fear them? They were less than. And that allowed them to work them literally to death and to beat and torture them for the tiniest infraction just to keep them in line. And that hate continued long after they were freed right up until today in the form of poll taxes, making them take elaborate tests just to be able to vote, Jim Crow, they-rich, white men- literally did their level best to not have to interact with black people and to keep them from getting any ideas that they were people on the same level as whites, lynchings up to scarily recently etc...
It's incredibly difficult to break that cycle |

It takes a lot for me to avoid these convo’s.
It’s tough to see so many people just choose to ignore injustice because it doesn’t directly effect them |

Hmmm...how do you explain me getting drawn on then?
Interesting. I can back up my assertions with facts, not anecdotes. - gcomella34
That's the exact definiton of an anecdote.
And if you were paying attention it's not just about cops mistreating black people. It's about equal opportunity all over the place. That brown kid that goes to an inner city school has no hope of "getting out". Now you're going to tell me it's somehow a 12 year old's fault he goes to a poopty school that doesn't teach him a damn thing? It's a vicious circle. |

Maybe I’m not being clear.
My point is the perception of guys like Myers/Kane maybe even add Duchene becomes so negative that they actually become under rated after a while.
Whereas a guy like McNabb, maybe Pysyk become over rated because they’ve never been in the role to receive that level of scrutiny.
And this isn’t me arguing you, I’m almost just criticizing myself |

So why comment on it, mind your business.
Maybe you and Sbroads can argue about how O'Reilly sucks or does not for the 14th day in a row.

GF is a student, exploited a promotion from a few years back. They didn't even try to up-charge us when they changed to spectrum.
They changed the requirements, now you must be 65+ or have a student who qualifies for The National School Lunch Program, free or reduced cost school lunches. |

I was going to say you must've done it a while ago.
You just can't change any part of your service now, that's all. I had a sick deal years ago, and to get rid of channels, my bill would've actually gone up. lol |

Yep. Youtube, streaming, everything works almost perfect, HD has some issues once in a while with buffering but I just pause it, let it load and go.
Download speeds are trash though, lol. 1 GB takes over an hour to download. |
