Sutter played 17 more games but he had almost double the points of Kesler. We win |

All the Leafs best players will be sent down to the Marlies after this week. Then they can get swept twice |

Bahl was struggling in points two months ago also. You said the same thing. Things change - VANTEL
Bahl is one of the younger defenders in the draft. As I had said to Rueben, I have no problem drafting Bahl just not at 37 where Van will be drafting in the 2nd round. If Van had another pick around 50, I'd gladly pick him up.
He is playing at the u18s starting later this week. 11 other draft eligibles playing for team Canada also.
Supposedly u18s is where Chevy saw Kristian Vesalainen play. (13 points in 7 games) |

It's so weird that we are not flooded with Leaf visitors like we were shortly before the playoffs started. |

He is projected to go around 35 th . He won't be available at 50. He is a 6'6 195 lb kid that is very tough. When he fills out he could be a beast. I would take a chance. Take a skilled player with the first round pick . He is a hell of a lot cheaper than Gudbrandson . It would take him 3 years but worth the wait. |

I shared the Northern Lights "Tears Are Not Enough" video with them yesterday. There was some commotion in their thread this morning from one of our sympathetic posters. |

Those rankings yesterday wasn't he 60th? EEMELI RÄSÄNEN went 59OA. You thought the same about him.

Just curious - What draft site are you looking at? Im having trouble finding one that ranks outside of the first round - I did find Buttons (which I suppose is a crapshoot) but he has Bahl at 65!!
We'll be picking 37 & 68 - He has Mattias Samuelson at 28, Jett Woo at 39, Sean Curzi at 45, K'Andre Miller 56 or Adam Samuelson at 74
Curtis Douglas at 79 is 6'8, 234 - good lord |

www.draftsite.com has a bunch of amateur drafts that are 7 rounds.
Future considerations has him ranked at 45. That's winter rankings. He didn't get better as the season went on.
30 in NA central scouting. Carlo was 25 (ahead of Boeser) and went 37th. Vince Dunn was ranked 37 by central scouting and now has 2 more points Carlo in half as many games. Dunn was taken 56th. Dunn had double the amount of points Carlo had during draft year. I'd rather a scoring D man then another Gudbranson type.
Nic Hague was ranked 20th last season and went 34th.(yes 14 spots)(carlo down 12 spots) So the big D like that seem to be dropped around a dozen spots from central scouting rankings. So if Bahl is ranked 30th, can expect he goes around 42nd. |

Id like one of each - Woo and Durzi put up decent numbers and have decent size already - although Durzi is 19.
M Samuelsson is my pick for size
Look at Tampa, Nash, Winnipeg and Boston and there back end is built big and they each have a few smaller puck movers, big and tough will always be hard to play against no matter how fast and skilled you are. Not everyone thats big moves like Gudbranson. |

Durzi point total from his draft year 38 in 60 is not bad. Quite surprised he wasn't drafted.
Boston has Krug under 6' if everyone is healthy. Winnipeg has no one under 6'. Toby won't be playing anymore.
Van's D isn't small. They just don't play big other then a few. |

Got as far as page 19 last night. Up to 55 now. Nice to see them reeling. That said, shut down the Bergeron line, games will be closer. |

So if Bahl falls to 42 and we are picking 37 th
I always am amazed when I see comments like lets trade for Myers or Oleksiak and trade proposals for Carlo because we complain we don't have any big D.Draft one take a chance. Tryamkin looked decent. It is one pick out of many . Take one chance. |

Bahl is a tough guy . Hits a lot and can fight . I am not sure about Samuelsson at 74

true - Edler, MDZ and Guddy are really the only ones who hit and unfortunately, its inconsistent - I'm just not interested in guys like Hughes or Boqvist - if we pick 6th - I would hope for Bouchard, if he's gone then Walhstrom and then focus on D with the next two picks. |

Dobson and Bouchard both have size and can score . You don't get that type in the second round , you get size and grit |

Kevin Bahl
Huge raw defenseman with underrated puck handling and distribution skill, he plays a physical game and gets his long stick into lanes and uses his reach to defend. Make a good first pass out of his end. Doesn’t readily transition to full free attacker, but has a willingness to carry the biscuit and is a good stickhandler and passer too. Supports the rush well and will get down deep too. Still a work in development, and will need to improve his shot release and accuracy. Scored two goals in the CHL Prospects game. His size and upside clearly points to him getting his name called to begin the work toward the big league. |

A couple more second round picks and another third they should take all defensemen |

you're right - its rare to find D in the 2nd round or later that turn out to be be high offensive guys, its more like the Severson, Montour, Carlo, McCabe kinda guys, and we need more like that. I don't think Brisebois, Sautner, McEneny play that way, and they're really the only 3 guys that I see having a chance of graduating. Man, I hope Tram decides to come back after he gets his bout with homesickness outta his system.
I like either Bouchard or Dobson if we stay around 6-9, hopefully one will be there. Just for once it would be great to move up into the top 3, especially after dropping 3 the past two years, although I'm kinda glad we did last year.

if we're lucky and get one of Svech or Zadina - then that has to be the D-plan.
Some decent guys other than the ones i mentioned earlier between the 2nd-3rd round
