maybe because he played here? and was traded for peanuts?
- robz228

Well you know, those other GM’s maybe thought he’d skip practice for the all-star game or get arrested while they hosted an event.

Like are we pretending we don’t know why he had little value now?

Yeah, and if Eichel gets hurt for another 3-4 years in a row we can play the same game I guess.

What is your obsession with Kane? He’s gone and was never signing here. It was a massive mistake to trade for him. Good riddance to all of Tim Murray’s giant (frank) ups.

Bogo and O’Reilly are next

- sbroads24

Just let me get this straight...

Can’t use per game when talking about Kane’s goal production
But u can when talking about Jack

That’s quite the contradiction

3 game samples are too large a sample size. Prefer shift long samples. As long as Compher or Armia score on that shift every 10 games
- Hatboro_Swords

Those teams seem to have done ok without Kane and O’Reilly.

I think they are still playing hockey

Best TDL acquisition and Sabres will need a miracle to get a 1st round pick* for him. Smart management, we’re all set now.
- Hatboro_Swords

A miracle?
I could see them re-signing him
Kane has been great in SJ

Botts: Hey Evander, I really overplayed my hand when I turned down 2 1sts mid season for you. Can you start scoring again so I don’t look like a jackass?

Kane: F u Sir lose a lot.

the sharks broadcast is pretty funny. i'm all for home team broadcasts being "homers" because they are playing to their audience, but they are just trashing the ducks as scum of the earth

Isn’t the pick lottery protected? So not only do the Sharks have to resign him, they also have to make the playoffs for it to be a 1st?

you do realize that after both teams moved on from kessel, they got way better right?

It is entirely possible the team is a problem for ROR as much as if not more than ROR is a problem for the team.

That doesn't change the fact that either scenario would require the Sabres to move on from him

- Sabresfan-365

Well Boston got Seguin & Dougie Hamilton for him,
Aka, “core” players

And trading Kessel allowed Toronto to tank & get Matthews

So sure...
if trading O’Reilly results in us getting Studs like that, then of course I’m all in

Just get me ONE guy for him that will definitely be a “core” player
Whatever else we get on top of that is fine
But we absolutely must get a core player in the deal
Otherwise,
U keep him & continue to fill in our other holes

Dude I get it. He’s a true playoff player.

He’s getting more praise than the guy with 9 points in 2 games.

My god you guys are weird

So you really don’t see how moving O’Reilly could really jolt this team in the right direction? Even if they got one player the caliber of Seguin/Hamilton?

Well I’m sure they’d offer him good $$$
And he’s gotta love playing for a winning team

There are reasons for him to stay
Bay Area is pretty damn nice by all accounts as well

Sucks because I bought brand new Callaway XR's (Driver, 3 wood, and 5 hybrid...on sale at The Sporting Goods Store with a Slang Name for the Male Anatomy) over the past 2 months.
- buffalofan19

I bought a brand new set of irons 4 years ago at the end of the season, my first "good" set, and used them once at the range before my back finally said "(frank) you, no". I've yet to actually use them on a golf course.

OF COURSE!!!

I’ve said about 20 freaking times that if we trade O’Reilly, ok...
“But it has to bring back a CORE player”

Not ever ONCE have i said we can’t trade O’Reilly no matter what or that he was untouchable

Just that a mid1st & “b” prospect would be an unacceptable return imo

I guess his slump hurt his trade value more than i thought it would

They didn’t know Hamilton was a core player when the trade was made.

You need to give yourselves the opportunity to hit a home run.
We need home runs right now.

Otherwise we heading right towards mediocrity
