What is Van going to give up for a 21 year old Sam Bennett?

I like that he has only missed 5 or 6 games in 3 seasons! He would add quite a bit of toughness to the line up. 1.7 hits per game last season. That's Goldy, Granlund, Baertschi combined.

I doubt that Cgy wants Granlund and Baertschi back.

He's coming off another season of only 26 points. If somehow Van could get another 2nd by trading someone else. Otherwise Van's 3rd would be as high as i'd go. Not sure Cgy trades him for a 3rd.

Production is similar, same age/ draft and Virtanen is trending up while Bennett has flatlined. The fact he can play center is a plus but I certainly wouldn't add a pick to a potential trade.

I think you have a little more faith in his value then I do at this point. Tanev's a good defender, he's just always injuried FFS.
