Bruins are still in the drivers seat obviously, but leafs still have another gear. They haven’t played their best hockey yet.

If leafs get back to 2-2 I think they have the edge with getting kadri back.

- bryant

If the Bruins are down both McQuaid and Gryzleck and have to bring in Postma or Cross it's going to get real tough for the Bruins. This is still going 7 in my opinion. They're evenly matched when healthy or with injuries and suspensions. This is far from the San Jose v Anaheim series which is over.

The Leafs had to be close to perfect and they needed the Bruins to hit posts and whiff on a few. Not looking too good for you guys.

Game 1 Marner missed a wide open net, could've put the Leafs up 2-1 and changed the whole outcome of the game.

Game 2 Kapanen hit the post shorthanded, if he happened to score it would've tied it up 1-1 and could've changed the whole outcome of the game.

Stupid hypotheticals, eh.

Boston won 5-1 and 7-3... Momentum or not, that's four more goals each game.

Toronto won a game. We're all impressed. I didn't want a sweep anyways, less hockey to watch, less opportunities to get drunk. Boston will win the series, and that's all that matters.

So what you are saying is Marchand is allowed to do "things" because he is who he is? Like baseball swing at a guy because they guy gave him a shot for taking a shot after the whistle already went? Or right before that he just happend to "trip" and drive his knee into the shin/ankle area of Johnsson? Those kinds of things? So if Kadri baseball swung at Krug or "tripped" at (insert player here) and took out his ankle, you would be ok with it and pass it off as "thing"?
- tornayle

so sick of everyone crying and complaining about Marchand, HERE IT IS if anyone took a baseball swing at Krug's ankle they're would be consequences ON THE ICE, if the Leafs aren't willing to do that then Too Bad, Problem with Marchand then Do something about and see what happens but for the Love of Tim Horton STFU

Why play into his hand like that? That's exactly what he wants, so the other player can get called on the retaliation and he can score on the PP. The problem is that the refs are way too concerned with keeping things even so they don't want to call three or four minor penalties per game against one player because that would be devastating for any team. It's not their job to keep things even though. The only way he's ever going to change his game is if he's in the box for 6-8 minutes every night. I don't care how good you are, no team is going to tolerate that. Of course, this will never happen though.

As long as the biggest scumbag in the league plays on your team you're going to have to listen to people complain about him. I suggest you get used to it.

I haven't ever seen Marchand do anything worthy of a penalty....

Marchand was robbed of the Lady Byng last year, but he's got my vote this year!

Nobody is impressed. Look at Twitter. Marchand is so deep in their minds they're unable to be happy with the win. Absolutely (frank)ing pathetic.

Bunch of (frank)ing babies.

Your Team is Too Soft to make him pay, so he will continue to retaliate after getting crosschecked in the back. That's about it However I did think it was a pretty compelling game good back and forth See what happens Thursday.

You were probably the first guy (or whatever you indentify as....don't want to hurt your feelings anymore then I already have) in line, when Kadri laid his garbage hit, to call for his head. And Kadri isn't half the goon Marchand is. I'm sick of "fans" like you sticking up for a scumbag like him and then complaining that everyone hates the guy. You have to defend him because he is on your team. Its what all fans do.

Either that or you are that goon type that wants to give Komarov a kiss on the cheek or lick his face ( )

Too soft? Rielly went after him and he hid behind Backes. No one is afraid of Brad Marchand.

I would love to see Matt Martin just lay out Marchand... Backes is big but a weak cry baby, I remember seeing Seabrook knock him out with one punch when he was on the Blues... Toews was chirping wakey wakey...

Thank you. To say that the Leafs got lucky last night but then ignore that every break went Boston's way in games 1 and 2 is ridiculous. I'm not saying that Toronto is going to win the series, or that they're the better team, but they're much better than what they showed in the first two games. They couldn't buy a goal in Boston (despite some great chances), they got penalized into oblivion, they had awful goaltending. With a little swing in luck and steady play from Andersen these teams are a lot closer than people think.
- Jeffmt

you dont score 7 goals because of a couple of lucky breaks.

Screw the refs, that stuff usually balances out over a series, I'm more upset about the missed nets and crossbars. And the odd man rushes...

No, you score 7 goals because you have a very good powerplay and the other team couldn't stay out of the box. Boston still earned those goals and I'm not trying to discount any of them. 5 on 5 I don't mind this matchup for the Leafs and with their speed they're going to keep getting those odd man rushes.

Lol. Yep that makes all the difference.
McQuaid has owned Martin in every scrap they've had.
Not that fighting is gonna have any impact in this series.
Marchand will get his eventually.
We all do.

What is Mcquaid supposed to do? The league mandates that players wear visors. They also are not supposed to purposely take off there helmet.... So hes supposed to not punch the guy in the face...?

I'm only gonna bring up this specific play cause I don't think anyone else has, but how much whining and crying would the Leaf faithful be doing right now if that obvious delay of game penalty which resulted in a goal was the other way and the Bruins had scored?
This question has nothing to do with any other play or sequence in the game. Just this one.
Remain on topic please.
