Who do you think we draft that will be ready day one? Rosen?
- CoHo_to_B-Lo

Rosen , Mayfield , Sam

Mayfield will have that Russell Wilson attitude and just use his Swagger and he will take charge in my opinion

Rosen is my #1 as well. After looking more into Jackson... realizing he is not a "run first" qb AT ALL. I like him as well. And Baker obviously.

When I was in Florida all they were talking about was the Dolphins moving up for a quarterback I hope that's all bullpoop..

That would be a knife to the heart if the Dolphins moved up before us for quarterback and we missed out just like the jets trade

Jackson needs to stop being a mama's boy and find himself a agent lol

Having a very supportive mom is absolutely awesome but sometimes you have to let professionals take care of things

I would be pretty upset missing out on 2 franchise wingers but I can deal with TK or Wahlstrom

Yeah he really messed up with that. I wish he had a mentor in this situation to talk him through it. This is his mom in a world of SHARKS and billionaires... She doesn't win or make his situation better in ANY scenario.

If we pick 4th my wish list
1) Whalstrom
2)Boqvist
3)TK
4) Hughes
5) Bouchard.

We are getting a really good player no matter where we draft 1-4.

I would trade both ROR and Ristolainen ( if we win the lottery )

The pieces we could bring in could turn this team into a whole different direction

- gerbe75pts

Yeah, except if they don't then we're royally (frank)ed.

I could see risto not listening to either coach.

Both coaches have huge flaws.

Bylsma leaves Pittsburgh- they win 2 Stanley cups

Phil leaves Nashville- they put up more points and win the presidents trophy

Maybe the young guys think they know more about hockey, especially when your losing all the time "trying " to fit into a system

- Boss34

The caveat there is that they didn't give it enough time. With the (non)practice schedules and games, you'd have to do something for a year, at least, before it becomes scond nature enough to just play and not have to think about it. They stuck with it for about 3 weeks.

oh yeah, tell that to the Vegas Golden Knights....How much time did they have to put it all together?? 60 days? This team has NO talent surrounding the very few that actually have some talent...

A win for life scratch ticket for ROR and a couple of leftover "Christmas Bonanza" scratch offs for Risto.

He was when he was drafted as well:

Notes: Baseball catcher and football quarterback in high school who was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the June 1995 baseball draft. Opted for football and redshirted at Michigan in '95. Saw limited action in '96 and '97 and started the past two years. Completed 3 of 5 passes for 26 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in '96, 12-15-103-0-0 in '97, 214-350-2,636-15-12 in '98 and 180-295-2,216-16-6 in '99, when he often shared time with super sophomore Drew Henson. Went all the way against Alabama in the Orange Bowl and completed 34-46-369-4. Unlike many Michigan quarterbacks, Brady is a pocket-type passer who plays best in a dropback-type system.

Tom Brady Positives: Good height to see the field. Very poised and composed. Smart and alert. Can read coverages. Good accuracy and touch. Produces in big spots and in big games. Has some Brian Griese in him and is a gamer. Generally plays within himself. Team leader.

Negatives: Poor build. Very skinny and narrow. Ended the '99 season weighing 195 pounds and still looks like a rail at 211. Looks a little frail and lacks great physical stature and strength. Can get pushed down more easily than you'd like. Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush. Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral. System-type player who can get exposed if he must ad-lib and do things on his own.

Summary: Is not what you're looking for in terms of physical stature, strength, arm strength and mobility, but he has the intangibles and production and showed great Griese-like improvement as a senior. Could make it in the right system but will not be for everyone

another player that never lived up to hype and had a slow start

I would hold onto him though for another year or 2

charts like these are tricky to read because the percentages are often different depending on draft tendencies.

Some teams still flat out hate euro picks, thats going to hurt the value of some of their picks.

some teams are still obsessed with size, so instead of a 33.3% at a top 6 forward, they draft lawson crouse or rasmussen

- Sabresfan-365

Let's just look at 2014 top half misses:

Bennett 4, Dal Colle 5, Virtanen 6, Ritchie 10, and you could probably add Fiala 11, and Perlini 12 because they not exactly lighting it up.

So 4-6 out of 15? That's pretty poopty odds.

2013:

Really only Nichushkin 10.

2012:

Yakupov 1, Reinhart 4, D Pouliot 8, Grigorenko 12, Faksa 13, Girgensons 14.

2011:

Strome 5, Siemens 11, Murphy 12.

2010:

Gudbranson 3, Connolly 6, Burmistrov 8, McIlrath 10, Campbell 11(goalie, but still a miss), Gormley 13, Forbort 15.

That's 5 drafts and a lot of top half misses, disconcertingly so in the top 10. Basically 2 a year in the top 10, over 5 years, are swings and misses. Trading a known quantity for a a scratch-off is dumb. If you want to trade them for players who are actually performing, fine.

my point was your odds are much better when you're drafting properly instead of "hey big guy he's totally lucic/chara 2.0"

Yeah, they're all vets and they play a very simple game, and they all have a giant chip on their shoulders, their coach included.

I know what your point was, and there is definitely some of that, Gudbranson and McIlrath scream that, but there's also a lot of "that's the guy" misses too, like Yak, and Grigorenko, Bennett, Virtanen, Connolly, Dal Colle, Nichushkin, Strome, Pouliot...

i feel like some of these were obvious bad picks at the time that drafting teams chose to ignore.

Yak, Virtanen, Connolly, Strome, Grigorenko. All had major red flags that warranted a drop in draft stock. Teams overlook it cause they see what they want to see

A mysterious “half human, half animal” creature has been caught on camera after it was said to have savaged two dogs.

The beast is reported to have been spotted prowling through the streets of Santa Fe, Argentina.

The photo was taken after it was said to have butchered a German shepherd and a pit bull.

Some locals likened the creature to a camel because of its long neck and small head.

It was uploaded to the YouTube channel UFOmania, and has now been viewed more than 30,000 times.

One person commented: “I saw one of these things in 2005, it was crossing a bridge and we came upon it.

“It blew my mind because it looked at us and turned and began moving just like a kangaroo would and cleared the concrete bridge wall easily and dropped at least 15 to 20 feet.”

Another added: “Here in the Philippines it is called ASWANG — a man transforms into a monster dog.”

“It is a demon, it can even shift into a cat or a big bird.”

But one user insists it is a Chupacabra, a vampire-like creature with strong roots in Latin folklore.

This thing looks very strange.

It's a (frank)ing Harry Potter picture. They just flipped it. lol

The YT comments actually came through for once.

365 put it well in the last thread: they're all 2nd-3rd line guys. No huge stars on big contracts (maybe marchessault soon though), but they didn't spend 20+ million on Bogo, moulson, gorges and Pominville this year either.

maybe they have a pretty good coach that played the cards he was dealt and got the most out of his team...

wonder where Bylsma is these days?

The funny thing is they read the comments on the YT video, skipped over the ones that showed it was a lark, and then posted other ones about a PSWANG or whatever the (frank).
