I figure this year guys like Barzal, Couturier, Nico, Karlsson, Point, have all passed him.

So that’s around 40-ish?

Ristolainen would probably be around 55-65, I think a high end 3.

It's a lot of players to dig through, more work than I feel like doing. My gut says Risto would be low end 2 (50-55) and RoR right around an average 2 (40-45).

I don’t think teams are in the playoffs because of defense. Swap the Sabres defense with Vegas, Pitt, Leafs, Peg, Jersey, Tampa, Caps or Avs and those teams are still in the playoffs if you ask me.

I don’t know much about them other than what Gerbe spouts. I only saw Tk and Svech play in the world jrs. I didn’t get what all the hype was about regarding Svech from what I saw. Tk was awesome with Mitts, so you might be right about that being where they’ll look. It sounds like Svech and Z are the goal scorers though and I want the Sabres to get a prolific goal scorer. A 40 goal/yr player. If they can get that guy with Eichel, it could be like LaFontaine and Mogilny again. That’s what I’m hoping for.

if you move risto, you better get at least a young second pair rd and a ready winger 3rd line or better


on the ror/casey thing
there is no way in hell they are paying ror 7.5 mil to be a 3rd line center for 4 to 5 years
there is also no way they drafted casey to be a 3rd line center in year 2

so something will have to give

be it ror or casey moving to the wing or ror being traded for value coming back


if you are going to play casey as your 3rd line center, you better get him better wingers than pouliot and griffith


side note I think e-rod will be fine as our 3rd line up tempo center
