I like 55, but something just not right in his game. He does not give us that true PP D man. If we can pull off a scoring winger for Eichel and get Dahlin.....100% move 55 in the right deal. Sometimes we hold players to long around here and fall in love with them, have to give to get!

Risto is fine, the group is a disaster

Ror is expendable, his talent is obvious but this team needs change.

This summer priorities for Botts:

1) Draft

The only way I get rid of Risto is for a Proven young winger and a D prospect. Risto is absolutely not the problem, the supporting cast is.

Did an analysis based on the combination of GAA and the amount of "top" scoring players a team has. Found out a few fun things.

If Buffalo can finish the season with a combination of either the addition of a 40 or 50 point player (without subtracting) and a goalie that can post a 2.7 GAA or better, we could be fighting for a playoff spot. Of course, the GAA is a combination of talent of the goalie and the ability to limit high danger opportunities from the skaters.

Also found out that Arizona is in a similar boat, and Vancouver, Montreal and Rangers are the worst off teams in the league right now.

Gerbs implied that people who like him, like him because he's mean. It took Kane 8 years in the league to get a hat trick. Risto got one in half the time. It shows goal scoring prowess.

Not to mention that Risto scored more than half of the total points than the rest of the defense combined. But hey, let's just toss out the only saving grace on the defense for picks. We'll definitely get better.

If you're going to trade him for the sake of change, make the (frank)ing team better without him (short term, at the very least).

Maybe, just freaking maybe, that part of the reason we are in last place, is Ristolainen doing his own thing for 27 min a night. Or O’Reilly not being a threat for the 20 min a night he plays. Or just our team in general not having enough speed and talent in the top 6.

I seriously cannot believe you people don’t want this thing gutted outside of Eichel and a few of the rookies. It’s so, so, so bad and boring hockey

Let me say, I would not trade Risto at all.. However if I did it would have to be for a Treasure trove of Murrency.. I am just sick of last place. We have very little talent on this current team....

I want to trade O’Reilly because he’s on the back end of his prime, and we need to start over to contend in the long term, but I’m short sighted.

I've said in all of these things that I would be open to a trade.

I'm not open to a "gaustad for a first" deal for O'Reilly. That's how you get Girgensons.

I don't want to trade Risto unless we're picking 1st. Moving him for a winger is a huge problem.

I would trade Reinhart or Okposo for the right deal

I want it gutted, but I want different players gutted

You "give" your surplus and "get" your demand.

Offensively talented defensemen are not a surplus on this team, by a long shot.
