Anaheim is doomed with those players and those contracts. They need to offload something somehow. That team is too old. I’m thinking some changes could be a comin.....

We should take the kesler contract for their next two first round picks and immediately send him to Utica for the rest of his miserable career

MDZ?

Gaunce had 48 hits Granlund had 47 . You are going to base it on one hit? Granny has 43 Nhl Goals Gaunce 12 . Grablund has played 55 more games .

- VANTEL

No. I’m basing it on Gaunce is very solid on D & a bigger body so better suited for the 4th line. Granlund is trade bait then.

Granlund is a certified tweener, too small/weak to be effective on a shutdown line and not good enough to play on a scoring line.

If he can be traded or packaged then I'd be on board with it. If he has minimal value then just keep him and let him fight for a roster spot next year.

also lol at vantel using season totals on hits despite granlund playing 16 more games and 3 more mins per game

I get bored just talking about him(same with gaunce too)

I've been bored of talking about the bottom 10 players on this bottom 10 team for 2 years.

Again about Carlson...

Although an American & more likely to ppay in the US & possibly in the East i’d still like us to offer him 6yrs/6.5m to kick sone tires.
Takes it or not he would help us if he said yes.

Edler/Tanev
MDZ/Carlson
OJ/EG
Stecher Sautner Biega

Is a solid top 9 depth. Allows a Hutton trade easily & if Tanev is traded as well. His D is ok & can be offset by a stay at home type. Lets OJ groom in 3rd pair minutes til he earns better TOI. The added offense would help the kids up front as they get better. Its not a short cut imo if in 2-3yrs we ascend as we hope. Demko should be a 1A goalie by then.

Any Tanev trade would hurt us less & bring back good picks/pieces. If Edler is still solid & we might resign 1yr at a time is available to us. MDZ for another day. OJ is insulated.

i think you're in for a shock when he signs his contract lol

Most people have him pegged making 7M at the very least, the consensus is between 7-8M.

I’d be shocked if he even took 6.5M to stay comfortable in Washington. Zero chance he even considers it to come here lol

Agreed. Realistically the Canucks might have to overpay to draw in someone like Hickey Carlson.... way too much competition.
