Granlund is a certified tweener, too small/weak to be effective on a shutdown line and not good enough to play on a scoring line.
If he can be traded or packaged then I'd be on board with it. If he has minimal value then just keep him and let him fight for a roster spot next year.
also lol at vantel using season totals on hits despite granlund playing 16 more games and 3 more mins per game
I get bored just talking about him(same with gaunce too) - Nucker101
So now you are using staying healthier as a bad thing
Screw you Granlund you should not have been healthier
And why does he get more minutes? Maybe because he is a better player? Same salary .Out against other teams top lines not 4 th lines
That would have made 8 more hits ooooooooohhhh big difference |

Well who isn’t? Lol
I highly doubt anyone thought this was unlikely to happen. Takes time. 👍
We have good company - Nighthawk
You highly doubt any of this will happen and in the very next post pencil in John Karlson . |

Yesterday Bloated said he wants a bad ass roster and he doesn't want to talk about bottom 6 . I highly doubt Bo or Brock are going to turn bad ass.
Toronto want to get rid of Martin how about Hutton for a 4 th and Martin and TO keep 1 mil . Now you are bad ass . Tom Wilson even a better choice but will cost more. Brining in guys that don't score and don't hit is a good way to stay bottom of the league |

I don't think Martin can keep up with the pace of the game. |

lol...but it is put up or shutup time for both Baertchi and Granlund. Neither has played even close to a full season here yet and neither has broken 40 pts. Baertchi came close to 40 pts ONE year in 69 games but that's it. Granlund is a good 3-4 line replacement but looks to never be a top 6 guy. Baertchi flirts with the top 6 but ultimately his numbers are career third line. If these two continue to circle the drain with injuries and inconsistencies time to move on. |

Competition at camp, maybe they get some pressure this year. Then JB's forced to do something. |

True. With Gaudette, Pettersson, Dahlen and a few others a threat to make this club next season competition should be fierce...forcing JB's hand. I'd be totally OK with moving Baertchi/Granlund or both for help on D if that's the case. |

Thanks Carol
All this talk of “heavy” hockey versus “fast” hockey has me wondering why people think it’s one or the other. Small does not equal fast and big does not equal slow. Also, fast isn’t just about skating in a straight line. Vegas is fast because they move the puck very quickly, because their forechecking forwards read the play so well that they are on you before you know what to do with the puck, AND because they have some guys that can really fly. Brayden McNabb certainly isn’t a small speedy defender.
Perhaps the more important factor is “young” hockey versus “old” hockey? Whenever you hear a general manager talking about the future the words younger and faster always seem to be in the sentence together. |

Both are expendable now, what with Gaunces offensive explosion next year |

I think Canucks could be
xxx Bo Brock
Dahlen xxx Pettersson
xxx Gaudette Jake
xxx Sutter xxx
I hope we draft Tkachuk for Bo's line
Fill in the blanks 20 mil in cap space and assets to trade. Get creative Jimbo |

Would be nice, not sold on gaudette yet thought. But if those guys all prove they are worthy....heck yah.
Keep Erickson on there and maybe add gradbner with more speed.
I think lipsic has a good chance of making it as well. Plays that Vegas style of “agreesive speed” |

I'll talk bottom 6 but that has nothing to do with AHL quality players on a NHL team. Just because a player sucks doesn't mean he should be destined for the bottom 6 on a NHL club. If he sucks he should be in the AHL or ECHL or at the front door of Walmart saying 'hello' to every freak that walks by. |
