Pouliot was a +35 and +40 in his last 2 years in the WHL and he sucks defensively

Not saying he’ll be Pouliot 2.0but I’m saying that +/- in junior is misleading. The tops teams feed on the bottom feeders. Less parity than the NHL

- Nucker101

Time he is stil a baby. Green gave him more time than he got elsewhere. You preach patience but he is just a kid. NHL is a big transition. Pouliot will get it. #trustme

Not buying it. He single handedly dragged his team to the playoffs and was playing 30 minutes a night. Doesn't compute.

Fair enough. Again, I’m looking forward to seeing some of his full game shift by shift videos. I’m wondering why he isn’t being ranked top 3 or top 4 unanimously with his stats, especially as a dman. Not like he’s lacking in exposure playing for the London Knights

I don’t mind hom offensively at all but he looks lost defensively. I think it’s just a lack of defensive IQ, not ability or lack of strength, etc. Not sure how you can fix that.

Im fine with patience, I wouldn’t trade him away for a late round pick due to some irrational hatred but he’d have to earn a top 6 spot in camp next year.

You need dmen who can defend against the rush and beat speedy forecheckers in today’s game, I don’t like his game in those aspects. I do think he’s a good playmaker in the offensive zone and I like that he’s not soft defensively, but I’m not sure if that’s good enough to overcome those weaknesses.

Jimbo can barely dial a phone. I have a feeling he doesn’t even know what a website is let alone hockeybuzz.

Dahlin, yes.

But a potential 6’2” top pairing dman who puts up goals, assists and apparently is a good skater that plays well at both ends of the ice and handles 30 mins per night...

Why is that guy ranked below potential 25-30 goal wingers?

Agreed, his production is off the charts and his team is terrible. It's somewhat bizarre he takes so much heat. Unlike Hughes, Bouchard knows/ acknowledges his weaknesses and is focussed on improvement in the summer. I am still leaning towards Dobson at this point though.

I want two things:

- Upgrade some of the surplus quantity for higher quality.

Baertschi, Dahlen, Gagner, Goldobin, Granlund, Leipsic, Motte, etc. are all versions of the same type of player and you really only need one of those guys (until he's broken). Do two for one trades on four of them to get two better players who are still under 25.

- Get a second pick in the top half of each of the first two rounds this year.

Buy a pet dinosaur or two if you have to.

Yea don't toss in the towel on Pouliout just yet.

Hutton is a wash.

Maybe Makita will post happier thoughts when Hutton is traded?

Button is good at stirring the shi!. Also he is pretty money on young players. He knew what most on here talked about for months before single handedly putting Makar on the map and into 4th OA last season.

I don’t know where Huttons confidence went. He is not injured. Do we chalk it up to a sophomore slump?

He gets poop for not liking the youth, but he was right about those 2 being overrated last year, now everyone is realizing it this year.

Both he and Stetcher looked way better when they first got here so it could be a developmental/coaching(gasp) thing as well.

Both guys were at their best during their first 40-50 games as Canucks, haven’t been the same players since.
