Knuckles has a good playoff style to his play. Same with reese. This particular 4th line is miles above 3/4 of our season. - taleisyreXIII
And I'm hoping the Sheary-Brassard-Rust line works out. Would be nice. |

How many knee's did he take out? It's like he kneecapped the whole team. - madmike71

i had my reservations with sheary and rust together, but this has been the most noticeably good sheary has been in a while. |

They've looked great...
... Or are their matchups playing really bad? 🤔 |

That booing is harsh. They're missing their 1C, and while I'm not sure they would win the game with him, I'm pretty confident it wouldn't be 4-0 Pens right now. Their whole team looks out of sync, especially the bottom 9 forwards. Coots out is a major factor in that.
In other news that Patrick kid will be giving us headaches in the not too distant future. He's gonna be really good. - MattStrat
TBH I really don't see much in Patrick. In my mind Hischier is watching ahead of him and has a more fluid game.
I probably wouldn't trade Guentzel for Patrick

It's been serviceable. Sheary struggles to finish...but those three will chip in enough and are competent for 30 seconds of pp time.
Being honest...the biggest and most useful surprise to the playoffs so far is murray. The dude has another level and has dialed it in. Hope he wins a third cup for his dad. |

This. Patrick still seems like a work in progress. Not sure how good he'll be. |

i think hes been inconsistent in showing it but patrick is going to be a very good nhl player. maybe not top line stud but hell be a good pro for a long time.
him and provorov are going to be a huge head start for them when the crosby malkin/giroux voracek era winds down. thank christ the pens have a ton of success in the bank already. |

Nothing. Hextall just announced he wouldn't play tonight. At best it's a sprain which would still probably keep him out the rest of this series. I'd be shocked if he comes back Friday. Although.....Hockey players. |

I love provorov....really had hopes we could get him but he was just too good to fall that far in the draft

Dingleberry might be the worst I’ve ever seen him tonight. He’s just mailing it in and clearly upset Patrick Sharp is there. |

They’ve had a friggen good game. Being able to reunite the Malkin-Kessel magician line and still maintain a third line that is a totall mismatch is ginormous. |

i think theyre different types of players obviously. like you said, you never know, but i think hell be solid. i dont see him becoming the next joe thornton, but hes gonna be a top six center who probably hovers in the 50s for points in the next three or four years. |

Sid probably took it back after taking Mario's playoff point crown.
Only took him 45 or so more games. Slacker. |

Forgot about that. Coming into the game I knew he needed 1 more to tie it. Thats a pretty good accomplishment. Nhl.com did a nice piece trying to adjust the 90s era data to make it comparable to today. It basically shows that even though Lemeiux did it in a ridiculously fewer number of games, both Sid and Geno are atleast in the same stratosphere.

Finish this off strong. No need to let them get any confidence. Pens are starting to coast again. |
