Are you asking me whether i'd sign Pominville to a 1- year 5.6 mil deal? Absolutely not.
He's here for one more season. He can still play in the NHL.
He isn't Moulson or Bogo. That's all I'm saying - sbroads24
Got it
5.6mil for a mediocre player is ok
7.5mil for a good player is not
Doesn’t make sense
BOTH are already here under contract |

Please explain why and what if any effects it has on the flat Earth theory.

So when does the Bills/Broncos deal go down for the 5th overall pick? - GilPerreault11
Maybe we could move up for a 6th round pick?
Even though the jets used (3) 2nds to move 3 spots |

Depends on what happens with Allen
If the Browns take him at 1 and the Giants take Barkley or Chubb then the Jets have to take Darnold
That leaves Mayfield and Rosen there after 4 so then there are teams that will either take their non QB guy and teams that would like to add a few picks and move back.
IF (big IF) those two are on the board around 7 or 8 I would absolutely move up to take one especially if they didn't have to give up pick 22. Pick 12 a first and a 3rd to get to 8 sounds good to me. - Stripes77
There’s so many different scenarios that could play out
I’m excited to see what happens though
The only thing I’d HATE...
is if we trade up for Allen (actually, if we get him at all- even 22nd)
Or if we take Jackson at 12
I wouldn’t “like” us getting him at all,
but i wouldn’t hate it as much if we took him at 22
He’s just a really risky prospect for me
Huge “boom or bust” potential
And imo, more likely to bust |

The Bills haven't had many games past 1pm for a long time
Ralph Wilson was against it because of the idiot fans.
Playing the 4pm game in New York was different. - Stripes77
It definitely used to happen more, the last time was in '13.
How is it different to play in NY at 4? It doesn't change anything as far as TV goes, and that's what we're talking about here.
And the Bills have had a handful of night games the last few years too. |

You want to buy him out with 1 year left?
He's here, he's staying, that's all - sbroads24
Never said that
I’m just not saying I’m fine with his 12goals at his Cap hit
You apparently are
Just bc we aren’t signing him to that deal,
doesn’t mean we aren’t paying it |

Unless the Bills move up to 5 and then trade it to the Giants at 2
But that will cost a ton - Stripes77
Yeah, I think the next move is going to be the ultimate move. They've been using house money up to this point. Moving up to move up would just waste more assets than necessary. |

I could see this happening, but we would need the 5th probably prior to the draft.
Giants could get chubb at 5 and a bunch of picks |

Okay!
#2 and OBJ
and then McCoy, Peterman, 12, 22, and the two other picks you have me thinking though - Stripes77
OBJ would be a nice add...
I'm with you by the way, if it's 3 1sts or some huge price to move up...don't. |

I agree,
Why in the world would jbotts buy out his friend pommer, who he traded for.
Especially when we still have moulson? Who botts sent to the minors |

Valid point. Just of the mind that the risk outweighs the reward given our current roster and success rates of 1st rd QBs. |

As long as the QB isn’t a bust
It’ll be talked about forever if we spend all those picks & “miss”

Pommer has never really been " fast" so I'm not sure if his speed is a huge factor. I see what your saying though.

Not in Buffalo...
Their last MNF game was the Browns game in 2008 in Buffalo
Ralph was against the later start on Sunday because well our fellow Bills fans are morons
But then the NFL added that Thursday night stuff and they played the Jets in Buffalo I believe last year |

I never faulted Murray for Vesey, and I won't fault Beane for this.
Whaley traded 2 firsts for Watkins, because he thought a good receiver would make his poopty QB better. That's dumb.
Trying to replace your last great (? maybe last good?) quarterback who retired over 2 decades ago takes precedence over any other need. |

"In all, Belichick has gone 13-6 (.684) in 19 games without Brady at quarterback for the Patriots. To put that in context, no other team?in the league besides Belichick's Patriots has posted a winning percentage higher than .684 since Belichick and Brady joined forces in 2000. Nobody would argue that Belichick doesn't need his Hall of Fame quarterback, but the Patriots have been extremely good even without Brady at the helm."

I never advocated for Pommer to be bought out
IN FACT
I was the 1st one on here to post about how we could potentially take Pommer back to get a discount on a Minny defenseman
All i was doing was pointing out the contradiction in how Sbroads is ok with Pommer’s production at 5.6mil
while EVERY DAY he blasts O’Reilly for being overpaid |

I'm dead honest when I say, to me, being right is secondary to trying.
Try and get the guy. Have the courage to be wrong. The parade of mediocre-to-bad quarterbacks that have been here in my lifetime is long enough, but if it increases by one more, it's really inconsequential. Try again in 3 years. |

I forgot that 2014 Monday night game was in Detroit because of the storm.
Yeah, they hosted the Jets on Thursday night in 2016.
But that's all irrelevant because you were talking about TV and the NFL shooting themselves in the foot and there are many examples of 2(bad) east coast teams playing at 4. |
