As much as I've hollered for it, I expect there will be very few changes outside of internal replacements. I think he'll cut his losses with Beaulieu, Pouliot etc and move on from at least one of girgs/larsson. - Sabresfan-365
this is a good way to look at, and approach, this off season |

I'd bet on Girgs being here over Larsson. 13th forward in that lineup, but I'm sure he'll see Eichel time.
I'd also bet one of the current core is traded. It absolutely needs to be done. Not change for the sake of change. The core brings the culture. And this culture blows Richard. |

In terms of the Bills. I ultimately think they trade up to 5. It just makes too much sense for the Broncos to move down. We are tight against the cap and can't really afford the 5th overall pick. If Bills offer 12, 22, and one of the seconds I think it will really tempt Elway to add three starters for the price of one that can contribute to the team now. |

they might be able to move up to six or seven and not have to move that second first-rounder |

This all really depends on how the Bills feel about the QB class as a whole. You can guarantee that 2 QBs will be gone by pick 5. IF the Broncos don't want a QB, the next QB threat is pick 11, one before the Bills. If the Bills, in this scenario, love at least 3 QBs, it's guaranteed one will be there at 10. Jump the fish, grab your guy, pay a 3rd round pick. |

I don't agree but it comes with the least amount of risk.
Mittelstadt, Guhle/Nelson, Ullmark, maybe smith and maybe the top pick should be enough to keep the team semi-entertaining next year. |

Im resigned to girgs coming back. It seems inevitable. Okposo should be able to fill that role better though imo. 15 needs a sniper. Of course injuries happen, but starting the year that way would be a major bummer |

I think they'll wait till next year to see whether they need to do that. If the internal adds aren't enough to push the team forward some core players will take the fall. |

A lot of him returning will likely depend on his attitude and how the org feels about him. He's a cheap enough player to easily throw away if they're not pleased with how he fits in with what they want. He CAN play a decent game, sometimes. If he played his game all the (frank)ing time, on the third or fourth line, he'd actually be a decent player here. |

yeah, it is what it is. He's severely overpaid at this point, but he can still score a few.
Interesting stat, Pouliot was our 3rd best EV goal scorer per 60 behind Kane and Eichel. Pominville was 5th behind Rodrigues |

If they can do that, keep 22, and get a QB, that would be a great success. |

How could a GM that likes his job sit idly on this roster? Based on his interviews, Botts seems very motivated to make heavy changes. That doesn't mean massive turnover necessarily. |

Then Elway calls the Dolphins, Cardinals, and Pats and says whats your price. I don't think Chubb or Barkley will be there at 5. I think 2 of the so called "Big 4" QB's will be there at 5. Elway either drafts one of them or takes a king's ransom for the pick in my opinion. |

Yet O'Reilly finished the season with 61 points and Pouliot finished with probably half of that. People act like Power Play points are a given, at the end of the day you still need to score the goals and have the skills to make the power play work. Idc how they score the goals, I want more goals. |

Sure. You enter that conversation for the sole reason of hearing about who else wants to move up. The Bills know they can beat almost everyone in a showdown. Too many variables to predict. But if you're Beane, you talk to every team, gauge their intentions, which I believe he mentioned he was actively doing. |

I think he just said what he thought everyone wanted to here. There will be big changes in the sense that a whole bunch of guys who weren't here last year opening day will be (mitts, top pick etc.)

I don't buy that. Matter of opinion I suppose. Botts seems above that. He was legitimately angry during the season. The easy route is internal competition. But that doesn't change the culture of this team. There will be big things. Book it. |
