Yeah LW is really the issue. I wonder if Okposo can switch, I believe he did at times in NY but not sure of how successful that was or not. I'm thinking more of a fast and slow line for 1/2, then give Mittelstadt the best of what's left.
Nylander Jack Baptiste
Okposo RoR Reinhart
E-Rod Mittelstadt Pommer
Girgs Asplund/Malone/Blackwell Wilson
Nylander and Baptiste are too high in the lineup, but I think their speed could help solidify a good scoring line. Jack can carry. - RhinoFan
I know that the fourth line is usually considered to be stink-stank-stunk around here, but I do like the idea of Girgs, Malone, and Wilson. Malone is a guy like Wilson in that he plays a quietly consistent game and occasionally chips in offensively while going hard on the forecheck and backcheck. I think he could definitely slot in as a solid 4th liner. |

I get it, but what other options do we really have? Okposo can't keep up with Eichel, so where else is he going to go? We are sorta handcuffed up top for the foreseeable future. - one14four
I’m pretty much Expecting Ryan O’Reilly to get traded and Casey to be the second line center
And we will be Acquiring a winger for jack |

Botts et al certainly seem impressed by him. He didn't stand out as much to be, talent wise, when I watched the games in RoChaCha, but I'll take the experts opinion over my own there. Asplund could be a dark horse too, he really was dynamite last prospects camp. |

Isn't defense our weakest link, if we are trading Ryan? |

We scored the least amount of goals in the nhl this year as well. |

It's a nice home-town story and stuff, but when they say he might develop into a 4th line center, I'm keeping my expectations very low. There's really no reason to project the kid in the NHL next year.

And getting a better defense doesn't improve scoring? |

When all you have are weak areas, picking the weakest is somewhat irrelevant.

Only time will tell, I admit to a lack of knowledge in terms of the player. I've watched him, but not enough to say yay or nay. Just referring to Botts' remarks about him. |

Round and round we go. Everything needs to be better. Imo the depth at LW is going to strangle us if not addressed. |

I think we haven't adjusted back to normal GM-speak, after a few years of GMTM. He said good things about every Sabre prospect in Rochester. |

It’s the same nylander hate you did last time but the The coach and GM said the exact opposite what you said ..
Disliking a player is fine ..

Show some respect? It's an opinion and I tend to believe it. Nylander has been sub par. |

Perhaps two depending on how the lottery balls fall. |

1 point in 4 games, and gave up the game winning goal becuase he lost the faceoff and didn't back check while a line that had been on the ice for 75 seconds rushed down the ice and scored. Kind of sad really. |

If this lottery goes our way, and we make smart moves, I think we could leapfrog the Leafs. They have 2 really good players - Matthew and Marner. They might lose JVR. I'm not sold on Nylander being more than "good."
I still think Risto is better than any piece on their D, although they have better balance |

Who said I wasn’t respectful ? I just think it’s a little strange that the coach and our GM said nylander struggled in the beginning of the year was because of his injury
they both said That he worked his way up to being Call up not because of his draft status |
