Who said I wasn’t respectful ? I just think it’s a little strange that the coach and our GM said nylander struggled in the beginning of the year was because of his injury
they both said That he worked his way up to being Call up not because of his draft status - gerbe75pts
He was called up as part of the developmental process, not because of his performance. Just like Casey, its a measuring stick for himself to see what he needs to do in order to play at this level. |

Also, I don't want to cast aspersions, but "Dwyane"? Me thinks someone (frank)ed up on the birth certificate and just went with it. |

I mean thats what they spoonfed to the media. Regardless, he has natural talent and skill. Its up to him really if he is going to be a top-6 forward in the NHL or not. He has the AHL playoffs and developmental camp next year to prove his worth. |

Unless Buffalo picks up a top-six winger or two in the offseason, I feel like Mittelstadt starts on the wing next season because who else is there? - one14four
I think he starts on the wing regardless unless he just blows the doors off at center in training camp. Eventually they could use him like a Seguin. Switch back and forth between center and wing. And a lot of good players start off on the wing before they transition to center. It's not a knock. |

If this lottery goes our way, and we make smart moves, I think we could leapfrog the Leafs. They have 2 really good players - Matthew and Marner. They might lose JVR. I'm not sold on Nylander being more than "good."
I still think Risto is better than any piece on their D, although they have better balance - jcragcrumple
Nylander IMO has been better than Marner
They also have a really solid top 4 D once Lilijgren comes up.
Travis Dermott is an exciting player too, basically their Guhle. |

Round and round we go. Everything needs to be better. Imo the depth at LW is going to strangle us if not addressed. - TheHank
Moving RoR or Mittelstadt to LW could help there. I'm not trying to say there aren't other holes, but we iced half an AHL defense this year...methinks improving that would help scoring and take pressure off of our forward group. |

I think we haven't adjusted back to normal GM-speak, after a few years of GMTM. He said good things about every Sabre prospect in Rochester. - Lunaion
Revisionist history. GMTM was honest to a fault. Nice try though. |

That's all you saw it as? I heard him mention Malone a couple times and it seemed like he was making a point to mention him for some reason. Not trying to be an ass at all, just thought it was more than him playing his role as GM talking up his prospects. |

I understand what your saying, but the coach and GM just say what we want to hear. They may have a really different inside opinion of nylander.
An amerks season ticket holder who seemed to have zero agenda, comes in and gives his first hand opinion.
You shot it down and blasted him for hating the player.
Maybe it wasn't disrespectful, bossy for sure |

I watched 60/82 leaf games this year. I take marner 10 times out of 10. |
